Are these official? I didn't think Holland would get top seed

Yep, they're up on Uefa.com

Yeah it was one of those bizarre situations where nobody wanted to be the top seed, as they would avoid Greece (holders), Austria and Swiss (Hosts). Think they're probably 3 of the weakest teams there.

Here's hoping for a Holland, Italy, Spain and France group...

no way. That would mean two of the best teams out before the quarter finals

So? it'd guarentee 6 competitive games in the group stages

It is just a joke, Austria and Switzerland are not good enough to be Pot 1, they will both be bottom of their groups, worst hosts ever.

You wouldn't complain if it had been Ireland and Scotland...

I would have, the co-effs, are there for a reason, and yet they wish not to use them for them 2, slight discrimination on the top teams.

The same coefficient can't be used for the hosts, as they didn't play any qualifying games.

Just out of interest, I calculated Ireland's coefficient - a lowly 1.545

We'd have been bottom seeds by a country mile!

Yes, I do realise we'd have got a better coefficient if we'd had the points to qualify!

I think the hosts' should have been given their previous campaign's averages and thrown to the wolves. You can't discriminate against Holland like they have done and a bye into the finals themselves is where the charity should stop. So what if it marginally affects bums on seats in the QF round? If we were hosting a tournament I'd go to every game I could even if we were stuffed in the first round.

I think it's something to do with where the games are played. Switzerland are in Group A coz all Group A games are probably in the bigger stadiums in Switzerland.

I am fairly confident that Switzerland will top any group they get.

No, they will not. They are not good enough to be in the Euro's

In every Uefa/FIFA competition the Holders and Hosts are top seeds, im gald that pot 1 is like that, will make for some good groups.
