Very very wrong.

I beg to differ................ what's wrong with that statement? The POP of Cobh IS indeed over 11,000 and Cork IS indeed over 500,000. The only slight error in the Chaps comment was City, but as we know, he meant Cork as a whole. If you want to be picky then at least pick a team that won't lose 2-1

Ya, . . . . . . . slight. Cork City FC, we call ourselves. I'm amazed ye could count the score yesterday.
Good luck in the Premier Division lads!!
Any news on signings with ye?
I heard Henders is pally with Greg O'Halloran.

Quite amazed that I only had to count the score with one hand really with the chances that Ramblers missed coupled with the fine saves Divine made. No bias here, but I'd say City were lucky to walk away having conceeded only the two.

Lack of Education here i fear.........Population of Cork is somwhere in the region of 130,000. Do ye include the whole of East Cork in the population of Cobh?

Cork City is the Best Supported team in a very poorly supported league. Nothing to boast about but its fact.

And Cobh got large crowds in their title run in cause Colmans Park was full of CCFC fans. If the attitude of Ramblers fans on this forum is anything to go by that'll change quite quickly.

I'd suggest getting back in yer box and find boots that fit.

That sentence makes no sense to me:confused:Weve just done City 2-1

One of the many things to do in Cobh!

Lack of education? Right. The population of Cork hasn't been that low since the Anglo Saxon days FFS. Lack of Education. Right. Oh and what the **** has East Cork got to do with the price of butter eh?

I'd say the boots worn by the Cobh players yesterday were just the perfect size, ta vey much!!

You're right i overestimated it, as at 2006 according to the CSO the population of Cork is 119,143. Try and get facts right or you'll sound more foolish than usual.

And Cobh won, yeah, In the friendly kick about, A week before a Cup Final(a trophy that matters)? Did we actually tackle in the game?

Enjoy that.

I'm sure you'll enjoy your 1 season playing real football.

To be fair, there's few eL teams who could teach our lads how to play football. Never mind our reserve team, which is what you lot are. :D

We thought ye a lesson on finishing at least.

I really like watching gamble what a class act, he was everywhere yesterday.

City players did not look like the morale was all too good they were all shouting at each other yesterday coming off at half time. .

a lot of us are well aware of the ccfc supprters coming down to cobh,as i have gone to watch city on many occasions. but the 130,000 estimate is an absolute joke, its at least double that.

Joe Gamble was taken out of the second half by Roy Long. After all the changes he thought he was gonna run the show. After 2 minutes he tried to do a trick to go around Long and Long creamed him. Over-rated as depor says.
He's good as is Dan Murray but both highly over rated.

Bella I suppose you disagree! Do ya?

region, estimate, same thing, all i know id ye have a catchment area is at least 10 times bigger than us, according to wiki, as of 2006 cork city is 119,143 with suburbs (douglas, ballincollig and rochestown. etc.) adding another additional 70,000, so thats 189,000 catchment area, campared to cobhs 12,000, (thats the whole island), i know many city fans that live on cobh all there lives and people in midleton that also follow city, so east cork is a cross between city and rams, but yer imediate area is nearly 200,000 so ye should get somwhere decent crowds, success or not,

next year will tell a lot, as to where our club will be haeding in the next 5-10 years,

Myself and others with me thought Gamble had his worst game of the season yesterday, saying that I'm glad it was in the friendly rather than the final.

Should be back to his usual standard next week hopefully
