Bohs Online, a popular unofficial Bohemians website, is urging National League fans to make their presence felt in the Republic of Ireland's friendly game against Croatia on Wednesday.

Bohs fans are angry because Glen Crowe has been left out of Mick McCarthy's squad, while David Connolly and Clinton Morrison have got the nod.

Mark Keane, a regular columnist for the website, writes "that the identity of the national team is nowhere to be seen", and he adds that it is "outrageous that players that are clearly not Irish are allowed to represent this country".

This is starting to get annoying.

Just because one is born in a stable, does not mean that one is a horse.

Morrison is as Irish as Aldridge, Townsend, Lawenson etc etc. There have always been non Irish born players playing for Ireland. These players are Irish (they have Irish passports) and qualify under strict FIFA rules.

Which would you rather have in your side to play one of the top European nations?:

1. A player who scored 35+ goals last season, including a couple in the Champions League - and who is a proven goalscorer?

2. A player who is currently playing in the second division of a foreign league for a mediocre team, and is as Irish as Martti Ahtisaari - de lad from de arms inspections

3. Me
