Did anyone see this article in todays Limerick Leader and does anyone think there is any truth in it? It sure made my day when I read it but after a while I came back to reality and thought that it wont happen. It goes on to say that Limerick37 are looking to host a friendly tournament with Celtic, Parma and a top-flight English club. It would be excellent for the promotion of the club in Limerick. Anyone know if this will go ahead? "A member of Limerick 37 will be travelling to Parma in three weeks time with a view to getting them to participate, while we also hope to attract an English club as well"

I can just see it, all the people turning up just to see Celtic and not Limerick 37. Although if they did go ahead it would bring in a fair bit of revenue.

LMFAO :D

That Celtic rumour is obviously just Ski talking through his ar$e in an effort at job keeping

Where would we play it??

That Errea Cup thingy has been floating around town for months now

I'll believe it when I see it.

Hope we don't have another example of the club feeding the papers horse$hit again

What about playing it in the Gaelic Grounds Ennis Road(long shot)? or Thomond?

Celtic are supposed to play us nearly every year and they never bother so I wouldn't read anything into it. As for the 'top flight English club', we are rumoured to be playing Sunderland next summer so that might be the club in question, they'll probably do that tour of Ireland thing again.

I genuinely wouldn't want to see the Gaelic Grounds opened for such a farce (not that it ever would be)

Thomond will be a building site for the forseeable

Assuming Sunderland are a top flight club come summer time ;)

Don't worry anyway lads, it's only the usual round of club spoofery we get every few months.

This year we even have a whole new clown thrown into the local mix with hilarious, Glasgow Celtic infused, consequences

Finnin, if you're reading this will you get the house in order and stop $hite like this being released to the papers.

No harm, we'll all be on here bleating in a few months when the Leader isn't giving us any coverage

same old crap from you why would it be a farce god any time someone mentions some potential good news you **** all over it give it a break will you you accuse juniors of being negative and then come on and disect guys posts and make up your own meanings. and before you go disecting mine dont bother i am always amused by your type if you love the senior side so much why not volenteer to help out in the club instead of hiding in cyper space with a snipers keybord at least the junior guys would have been out helping their clubs like we were this morning v coonagh so why not just wait and see

How do know he does not help out a Junior Club? Ever heard of Hella Lumni? The reason i started this thread was because i read the Limerick Leader and I did not believe it either. Trust me, I would love if it did happen but I honestly cant see it happening. I mean fair play to the lads in the club for being optimistic and all but its not good for the club to go to the papers and say this is going to happen and if it does not happen then we will look like a joke. The fact that they think Parma will come over to Limerick just because Errea make our Jerseys is hard to believe. Dont get me wrong I think its a great idea and if it goes ahead it will be great for Limerick soccer but until I see it I wont believe it:ball:

So you honestly think Limerick 37 v Celtic U-21s in the Gaelic Grounds wouldn't be a farce

It's obviously rubbish anyone with half a brain could s.......................oh wait, I see the problem

Thanks for taking such a keen interest in my views though.

If you pm me your email address I can send you a monthly newsletter with all my thoughts on it to save you the hassle of going back through 3000 odd posts on here to make your sweeping statemens

give it a break will you

Nah

you accuse juniors of being negative

Where??

About What??

and then come on and disect guys posts and make up your own meanings.

Would you prefer no one answered you kid??

and before you go disecting mine dont bother

Ooops

i am always amused by your type

Glad to be of service

if you love the senior side so much why not volenteer to help out in the club

I make the tea and paint the fence

instead of hiding in cyper space

There isn't a long term poster on here who doesn't know who I am

There isn't a person involved with the club who doesn't know who I am

Infact, I'd go so far as to say the majority of people at the games know me to see me.

What was your point again??

with a snipers keybord

Snipers Keyboard?!?!

COOL!!!!!!

at least the junior guys would have been out helping their clubs like we were this morning v coonagh

We're a big boy club

Can have lie ins on Sunday mornings without worrying about Coonagh and the like

so why not just wait and see

Do you honestly not see the problem with the club feeding speculation to the papers??

Jesus

Why do you have to class people on here into Senior or Junior fans? Its getting a bit boring to be honest. There are loads of posters on here who are involved heavily in supporting both Limerick and their local Junior club. Fair play for getting up and helping your team V Coonagh. I honestly admire that and if it wasnt for Volunteers, soccer in Limerick would be nothing, but I was up this morning to help and play for my Junior team and up to a few weeks ago was at every Limerick match home and away that I could physical make. So whats your point?

According to todays chronicle thonond park will be opened for other sporting events other than just rugby. Limerick v Glasgow Celtic could be a possible fixture if that match was to go ahead.
