Does anyone agree with me in thinking that these two should get a go on the National team? It couldnt harm us as all were playing was friendlies recently and it was a shame that these guys didnt get a chance

Don't agree with either actually. if you're picking a striker it has to be Jason Byrne (despite Friday's miss) and Houlihan only started ofr Shels for the first time on Friday and if he's not good enough for Shels, he's hardly good enough for his countyr....

i think they are u21 standard and that's about it, i have no problem with throwing crowe, flynn or even byrne on in friendlies to give them a chance to show what they can do, and then maybe build them through against weaker opposition if they impress.

crowe did well with his chance, but he is far and away the best striker in the league (for now).

Crowes physical strenght is the reason he can hack it the best as well as his obvious experience over the other two. Give them a couple of years to get stronger (particulary JOF) and I think they might be in with a shout. Not now though.

If Wes Houlihan is not a regular Pat Dolan should take a sconce. Would solve one glaring problem we have immediatley.
