Yesterday was "summer football".
It poured from the heavens for most of the game with a strong breeze blowing down the pitch. The attendance was poor and the excuse given was that there was so much GAA on.
It doesn't get much better than this except if you're a City fan where the only way it can get worse is if we go below Galway next week.

Just typical though, theres always an excuse. Cant understand it, theres a match involving your own team just down the road, and some of these people choose to sit on their barstools, watching Man Ure. When is a good time for Eircom league football really?

I'm worried that the Rocket Men will lose their job selling coffee and hot chocolate at eircom League grounds if we go to summer soccer. Will they be able to change with the times and sell orange instead? I live in hope.

Maybe they can find alternative employment as ice-cream men.... or start selling Buckfast at games instead......

Surely the cost of retraining from hot to cold beverages would be too restrictive. These guys are professionals, you know. Still, do like the buckfast idea. They could carry it around in a massive coke contour bottle.
More importantly what will the rocketwomen wear during those balmy summer evenings?
Come on weren't sure to get a few dry days just for summer footie ;)
