View Full Version : All Local Side
Lim till i die
12/11/2007, 6:29 PM
Seeing as our budget will most likely be a lot smaller next year and hoping Ski is gone just wondering what an all local Limerick side could look like and how people think it would get on??
This list is just off the top of my head now so apologies if I'm missing anyone.
Could be a thread for the Junior lads to get involved in (God help us all :) )
Anyway potential squad:
Goalkeepers:
Fyffe
Barron
Defenders:
Purcell
Finny
Molan (not local based but definintely worth keeping)
Dannagher
Buckley
Curtin
White
Midfielders:
Cosgrove
Barrett
Harrington
Hartnett
Wall
McGarry
Bourke
Grant
Colbert
Forwards:
McCarthy
Kelleher
Tierney
I know I'm missing a fair few so anyone feel free to add.
It's just off top of my head like I said :ball:

I'd love to see Keith Harnett play for Limerick again, but highly unlikely to actually happen i would guess.

that high std wouldn,t include his usual discipline problems...as evidenced at the weekend out in croom.

dunphy would be a good player to have, experienced at the level and versatile, no chance of bobby ryan id imagine some of the full time pro clubs will take him in the event of him coming home, houlihan has been a gard in dublin for the last 2 years and basically hopped on the boro bandwagon halfway through the season last year when it looked like they might win the league!! alan barry would be a good signing for limerick as good a player to be found locally as any other, in addition to that i dont think there is too many locally when you consider the likes of davy wall was deemed surplus to requirements is one of the best players in town. alan caroll could be worth a look, also always thought shane guerin never let the club down when he played
