[quote=gee wizz;827303]Out of the current wanderers squad only 3 or 4 played AUL and the rest all played for the ramblers at underage level and up
da point was theres more dan 4 dat played aul on da team

i agree with you on that point,i didnt get out the squad names and count them it was more of that there are probably more ex ramblers down in the wanderers than Aul,it still just get away from the fact that you lambasted the senior premier msl team and players as a joke and a pub team at least they are all from cobh

This is from the current squad who i think have played for cobh ramblers at one time or another it is open to correction ,hanlon, creedon,o'keefe, nolan,o'shea, stack, faroq,b urke and quinlan stevan or jimmy maybe both, all good players

boring here we go again with this "well at least they are from cobh" crap
the ramblers team has a number of cobh players , the number is decided by quality, the rest are not up to it.
look at other teams how many locals do they have any team with any desire for success has a mix of locals and people from outside area
we are lucky our local area is cork , in reality all our players live within a 15-20 mile radius of the ground, man utd cant say that.
lads if the people ye talk about showed as much dedication as davin, barrett, meade they may have some chance but the usual cobh way kicks in couldnt be bothered and rather get p*ssed than dedicate to football.

well forgive me for stating the obvious but ramblers are a pub team so as most of our players come from MSL

The above quote is not mine it is outside in's i have said this all along that the msl and all the teams in it put a lot of time and effort in to there teams and season to be treated with a little more respect and not be called pub teams and as for my comment(at least they are all from cobh)was in no way a dig at cobh ramblers football club or players as i have the greatest respect for all they have acheived this year and in previous years because with out them they're would be no wanderers no springers, and as for outside in,come down to the wanderers or springers games once in awhile and get behind the local teams you never know you might even enjoy it,especially now that the E.L is on a break

First of all, ian stack is springers through and through, 100% would pick springers before rams anyday for all his sins. Wait till i tell mark farrell your crediting bossy with his greatest moment and worst peno in his career, now springers btw.

anto flood sgined for shels, wonder if any chance we could loan him out for the season, then if shels get promoted next year hell have a year in the prem done, i thinkwe should be lookin at maybe loaning a few of the better players from the first division, if not buyin them, will be slighly harder to get a player already in the prem to up sticks and move south, but you may get a first divison player to do it, even mcsweeney for city looks like a good player, id say he would keep soemone out of the team,
we need players that will keep the lads on there toes, squad players are players who arent good enough to keep the likes of davin or kearney out of the team,

drinkfeckarse
03/12/2007, 7:47 AM
There is no chance of any 1st Division clubs loaning their best players! It's counter productive. All clubs are trying to get out of that league so why harm their chances by letting their best players play for someone else?

The only chance would be to pay a big loan fee and for the sake of that you could probably get another player anyway.
