Apple Stockists

Anyone know any good offline stockists of Apple gear? Need to get a Mini DVI to VGA adapter, and the 1-2 weeks shipping time on the Apple site is putting me off that. Have already tried the local 3G and o2 stores without any luck.

I haven't a notion about Athlone but in Dublin the Spectra Photo shop beside the Molly Malone, ie the lonely detached part of Grafton Street, is an official Apple Store. And my dada works for them so you better go in there, I mightn't be able to afford an internet connection if you don't which of course would mean I couldn't give you great advice like this in future. :)

Yeah I tried Spectra without any luck. I've ordered one through 3G, they're a reseller too.

There are 2 Apple shops in Galway.

I deal with Galmac www.galmac.ie but there is another place called Screenways who also have a good reputaion but I have never been there. Google them?

Supposedly Apple are an awful **** to deal with. Not really surprising I suppose given everyone would love to be an agent for them. Pretty low margins and they only give two weeks :eek: credit so you have to be careful with your stock management, you need cash flow and only get things in when you know they're sure to sell, or as those clever people in Toyota coined, JIT. I think there are only one or two proper Apple agents in Ireland - Spectra and A.N. other.
