Fans Urged to buy tickets and arrive early.

Following their outstanding start to the new season, another huge crowd is expected at the RSC on Friday night next for Waterford United's game against Shamrock Rovers. Tickets for the match are now on sale at the Club Offices, 15, Parnell St. and at Gregory’s Menswear, Patrick St. Tickets can also be purchased at the RSC, on Thursday and Friday next, from 12.00p.m.to 2.00p.m. Club Chairman, Ger O’Brien says significant advance sales for the club’s last home fixture against Bohemians did much to facilitate access to the ground for supporters on the night of the match. With an even bigger crowd expected this week, he has again appealed to blues supporters , to purchase their tickets in advance and also to get to the ground at least half an hour before the 7.30p.m. kick-off.

On the field manager Jimmy McGeough will have some decisions to make as to what changes to make to the team that so nearly claimed all three points in Cork last week. McGeough will be without David Breen who serves an automatic ban following his sending off in Cork He is likely to be replaced at the heart of the defence by David Mulcahy who filled in very impressively for the last 20 minutes in Turners Cross. McGeough will also have Gary O'Neill back from his brothers wedding in the US and he will be eager to get back on the team and the score sheet. The other decision for Jimmy will be how to restructure his midfield to replace Mulcahy with Kevin O'Brien seeming the likely option to fill in in the middle although if fit Wayne Fitzgerald is another option which would allow for the return of Kevin Waters to the left wing. Decisions aplenty for McGeough as the Blues look to maintain their good form and claim a victory that would see them leapfrog the visitors in the league table.
