Anybody know what the story is with Kelly? He's had a decent enough season and has been one of the few Leeds players that has performed. Yet he still hasn't even turned up for Brian Kerr never mind played. He always struck me as the proverbial 110% committed to ireland (especially at the world cup) and I think he would do the job for us on the right of midfield (where he's been playing for Leeds) in the absence of (or maybe even instead of) Steven Reid. His latest excuse (for pulling out of possibly Irelands most important games since Japan) is that he wants to recover from the season's injuries - can't he do that for the rest of June and July?

That struck me as strange too that he's had no shows under Kerr. Also remember Harte dropping out for "family reasons"?

Did Kerr pi$$ them off at underage level?

Maybe a manager from St. Pats doen't quite measure up to the heights of a manager from Millwall..?:p

Ya hes had a great season. But does anyone remember the younger kelly days when he actually used that unreal pace in an attacking way. Remember when he went to leeds first, it was as a striker. But with the conversion to right back he lost this ability. And in my view if he could rekindle this he d be up there with the best. But even at that he is still a very good player who definitely deserves a chance even if his accent is exceedingly rare and mystifying
