Be careful thats not true. Its relative to the shops and if in an "outlet store" medium will generally be Large here. Just like roadend says.

For example abercrombie sizes dont get any "bigger" from medium upwards, they just get longer......Tommy get longer and wider from large up, but generally a medium over there is a large over here. It all depends whether ye like yer designer or not ;) The 32 and 34 can be varying between all shops. I have 32 that are the same size as 34, for example guess and abercrombie. And then I have some 34 that are smaller. Then i have a dkny and diesel pair that are very tight 32!! so it all depends....

Simple answer, just try them on :)

Americans use an entirely different system for clothes sizes, so be careful.

Basically, they have the S M L XL that we have.

But then they also have :

- F (fat),
- FF (Fcuking Fat),
- SAFPM (Step Away From the Pies, Ma'am) and
- CO (Clinically Obese).

Choose wisely...

Just to add...For Los Angeles...MMOABP(More meat on a butchers pencil)

Actually, here's an online conversion chart. (http://www.onlineconversion.com/clothing_mens.htm)
Hope that helps. Here's one for shoes. (http://www.onlineconversion.com/clothing_shoes_mens.htm)

From my experiences a large in the US is like an XL here, a medium in the US, a large here.

The Americans believe it or not are slightly 'bigger boned', 14 stone over there for a male is someone who required 'beefing' up.

NB: Ever get a 'large' pop/soda at the 'movies'......a small bucket.

ye know, abercrombie over there is for 18 - 22 year olds, not really for anyone older, but it seems over here we buy it till we are 30!

It is great quality stuff though, i have some stuff left from 5 years ago!

My experience as well. Shoes are also definitely different . Should go up one size.
