You can't open an newspaper or website these days without reading speculation about Duffer's future. So where would you all prefer to see "the Ballyboden wizard"(!) start next season? And wherever he ends up, will it improve his game?
1. Manchester Utd
2. Liverpool
3. Arsenal
4. Blackburn
5. Other

It has to be United. I think Liverpool are too conservative and I'd be afraid what Houllier would do to Duff. Sitting on the bench as a reserve for Heskey wouldn't be great.
Arsenal would be a better move although he have a lot of competition with Pires and Lungberg. Having said that though Wenger would be a great manager for him.
Look at what he's done for Henry, Anelka, Petit and Viera to name a few.
However I don't think Arsenal could afford him.
Newcastle haven't been mentioned in this list but they've been looking at him as well. I think they'd be a good move too.
United are the best option though. He would get his game there. He would form a great partnership with O'Shea down the left. He would be loved by the fans(although thats a given where ever he goes.).
He would create lots of goals for Van Nistelrooy.
Another factor is that at United he would have as much pressure on him as at Liverpool where they would expect him to win them the League.

2 questions:
Would you expect him to get a game before Giggs?
Any idea how to set up a proper poll?

Giggs probably won't be there next season and even if he is it wouldnt be hard to imagine Duff getting the opportunity to claim his right to a first team spot.
I'd say Man United will make a strong push for Duff and Kewell. They need wingers big style

Personally I'm not so sure Italy would be the place for him - just don't think their style of play would suit his. Spain would be great for him but then again he has to go by whoever's interested - it's not like he can choose where to go.
He might not go anywhere - Souness might be lookin too much dough. Apparently Kewell's available for 5-7m stg.

Hard to gauge how well regarded he is outside of UK and ireland.
I honestly think he's one of THE best players around anywhere.
So Real Madrid.
He'd fit in. Shift Zizou back to centre.
Maybe i'm out of touch though.
Dunno.
And would he improve?
Ha. Imagine it.
He'd be unreal.

i don't think he's good enough for Real Madrid.
He's not in the same League as Figo and Zidane.
Duff is not a good finisher. He hasn't got a good shot.
Apart from this he is excellent. Give him another couple of years at a top team in the Premeirship and then he'll be ready for Real.
I wouldn't be surprised if he goes no where.... If shoeless is looking for £20million, he's pricing him out of the (deflated) market.... Hoolahoop might be desperate enough, but I think Fergie may see better value on the continent - Arsenal haven't the money....
All this talk of him going to Spain and Italy - he may not necessarily want to go, not for footballing reasons (which would be hard to argue about) but for off the field - language, home life in the North West of England, the fact that he can get back to Ballyboden in under 2 hours door to door at the moment (be less if he goes to United or Liverpool).....
If Blackburn look for in excess of 10m Duff will stay put. Might depend whether they qualify for the uefa cup or not.
I'd be surprised if Duff left england let alone Blackburn as he appears very settled & a move to the continent wouldn't serve him well just as his career is really motoring.

He said about the time of the world cup last year that he'd never move to Spain or Italy - the heat was killing him.
I'd prefer to see him at Man U.
I'd hate to see him at Liverpool - in a team specialising in the long ball, he'd gert no service on the wing.
I think he'll stay at Blackburn, especially since they've secured UEFA Cup football next year.
United will pay £20m for him. I think Ferguson will want him and he will get him. The fact that united have Giggs is irrelevant. When Giggs is missing from the united squad they are stuck for a proper replacement. Duff would get his game. Giggs is ten years a first team member at united and his time is coming to an end anyway. He will go to united, i'd be very surprised if he went anywhere else, unless abroad.
