Fair play to him, especiall with his family commitments.

Very happy to have him as back-up, or maybe he will still be our NO.1, but I just hope Stan does not just use him because he thinks he has to just because he's stuck around.

Fair ****s Lee

It contradicts Staunton's youth policy in ways. He can't play him just because he hasn't retired. Equally, the deal with Carsley seems to be that he has to play if he travels.

Carsley has always been ineffective in a 4-4-2 formation because he just doesnt have the pace to cover enough ground. However in a 4-5-1 formation, he has done some great work for Everton playing in front of the defense. Its a formation we should have used in some of our away matches, but didnt. If Stan discovers tactical awareness, Carsley can still do a good job for us in selective matches.

With a fit Duff and Steven Reid then Carsley wont make the first team unless there are more injuries.

Dont think he has let us down on this campaign to be honest, another solid performance on sat nite. Would rather have him as an option for next 2 years than not.

Fair play to Carsley. He's a solid pro and the kind of guy we need.

Not the greatest, but will always show up and put in a decent performance.

No problems with dead grannies either
