The FAI has fined Bohemians and Waterford United a total of €1,000 following the clash of colours issue which saw the League of Ireland game between the clubs (14th September) kicking off late.

Bohs have been handed the majority of the fines and must pay €500 "as a result of a breach of rule in relation to club colours" and €250 "as a result of their actions which resulted in a delay to the kick-off of the match".

Waterford have been fined €250 "as a result of a their actions which resulted in a delay to the kick-off of the match".

Bit of joke Bohs getting fined considering they were told not to bring their home kit.

Derry City V. Bohemians, League Cup Final.

With refs kicking up stink so easily, I expect Derry and Bohs to be fined for wearing similar kits on Tuesday.

I'd say the ref would have had to have said something before the game. The fact there was no problems with the kits last night show how arbitrary the whole thing is.

i here that the ref had a problem with our new keeper top on tuesday morning. Derry contacted O'Neills in strabane and they had a new one at the brandywell in a couple of hours complete with sponsors etc...

Any of you see the new top? http://www.derrycityfc.net/season/07/news/displaystory.php?storyid=184

Yeah, noticed the new kit - nice - but I was surprised given the recent dramas that the ref allowed it; especially now that the Derry top has a black area breaking up the red on either side. Sorry can't describe it any better than that, I'm no fashionista:)

Were Waterford fined because they refused to change their jerseys? Cork City got fined E1000 for the same thing?

:confused:From reading here I think Waterford were fined for initially refusing Bohs the use of their away shirts and trying to make them wear the green & white hoops of a local side but (like everything on here) that could be rubbish.

I assume the €250 fine for Bohs is the fact they refused to wear the shirts offered to them?[green & white hoops]

Seems very similar to City v Bray...

Why did Bohs not wear their own home jersey therefore invoking the rule that the home side (Waterford) change their jersey?

They were told not to bring it, either by Buttimer or the league (not sure which), as it alledgedly clashed with Waterford's blue home jersey under the floodlights.

Even for this league that is bizarre. Blue clashed with Black/Red?

Buttimer must be blind which may explain some of his decisions...

Did they bring the new kit up by car or did they use a bus?

It was the Derry Board who thought that the jersey may have clashed and O'Neills had not one but two new jerseys for them to chose from on Tuesday morning.

As far as the Registering of the jersey is concerned they don't need to re-register the home one as it is still the same colour sheme and basic design just new manusfactuer, The Away one I think will have to be registered as I beleave it is going to be completely different in colour and design to teh current one.
