There is no sign of this fixture on any of the fixture lists, even on the official website. Im nearly 100% we still have to play Athlone away as we have only played them three times this season. Does any one know when this is going ahead? :ball:

ya we definately still have to play Athlone again. the match was original to be played on september 22nd but because of the FAI Cup Quarter final match against Longford Town it was moved. Its still yet to be anounced when the match will go ahead.

We were due to play ye in Athlone but that was postponed due to L37
cup game with Longford. FAI rescheduled the game for last Tuesday but
neither club agreed on the date so another one has yet to be set.

Thanks lads. Knowing the FAI the match will probably be played after the season is over. I would love if it was on a Saturday as we all have good memories of the away trip in Athlone at the start of the season!! :D

Hasn't been agreed on this side from what I heard last Friday. There has to be two weeks notice given I believe so we can rule out up until the start of November

Thats the problem nobody does. Its the FAI after all. They dont care about Division 1

In fairness to the FAI ( ) this is strictly down to club idiocy, possibly at both ends

The FAI set the dates that matches are played.
