Does anyone actually believe this???!! Is there any foundation to it? Didnt he try to sign Razor when he was manager of Rangers? Heard somewhere they have a lad from the Republic on their youth books incidentally and I dont mean that American plank.
I remember Billo actually saying it to him after the world cup! And GS laughed it off and mentioned something about Dickie Rock??!!!!

Have there been any managers/Players who were well known Anti Irish. I know a lad who played for Villa when Alan Thompson was there and he told me he was, ironically enough, no great lover of the Paddy!!

He hates the Walkinstown roundabout and anyone who lives in Harolds X. I know because Joe whathshisname in the pub told me that a second cousin of his sisters brother-in-law (please fill in the rest yourself!)

Does he hate the walkinstown roundabout from the Greenhills side or the Bunting/Balfe Rd side? Never likes the Bunting Road side myself. Ever since the ABC got new owners. Ruined the atmosphere. And the food is in the Kestrel is just dire.

Souness is a gentleman and was one of the first people to really try and tackle sectarianism at Ibrox

As I said in another thread, was never anti-Irish, just anti-crap footballers

Terry Butcher. When he was Sunderland he got rid of a lot Irish players. John Byrne been the most notable. People say he's anti Irish but I think he's a crap manager!

Not anti-Irish either

Eventually came to see the Old Firm for what it was - a big pile of sectarian garbage

Does a lot of work (Afaik) with nil by mouth

Souness is a legend on and off the pitch. He's a football man who doesn't give a **** about sectarianism. He was married to a Catholic and did so much to try to change Rangers.

Butcher is extremely anti-Irish I know. Remember Gerry Francis saying he would do his best to persuade Kevin Gallen (when he was helping England u18s win the u18 world cup and with Fowler was considered the best prospect in England) to declare for England rather than us but thats probably understandable.
