[QUOTE=Ash;782991]I hear ya, but those 3 have been particulary woeful :o

McT hasn't managed to do what we signed him for, but the effort he puts in
is more than the 3 stooges put together. Davy Byrne has the (very) occasional
good performance in between his injuries and injuring team mates.

not too surprised with davy byrne ash! he didnt do too much for us when he played for da town!

ian ryan has being crap for us in defence any time he has played. david lee only played a few games for us at the start of the season- he was by far the worst signing that alan matthews made. where is he now magicme by any chance?

Pretty much everyone Rob McDonald signed for us, we'd have been releagted if he was still in charge

Rogers is **** and is being found out when he doesnt have the cover of Heary and Hawkins that he had at Shels. In my opinion Pats title hopes disappeared with his arrival!!

I'm inclined to agree with that. Since Rogers and Paisley came into the team Pats defensive record has gone to shi-ite. Foley Brennan and Maguire were an excellent back 3 early in the season. Not overly impressed with Gibson either, gives the ball away a lot, and then has a tendancy to lunge in and kick people when trying to recover. As for Glen Fitzpatrick, well, we must surely have a winner there. (In the worst signing category that is)

LOL, I must have blocked him totally. Clear winner...

For us Kingsbery is rubbish and Fenn has been terrible too but then again he was not suited to the long ball football played for the first half of the season.

Obviously haven't seen him as often as Bohs fans but I thought Kingsberry looked pretty good when I saw him. Much too lightweight though.

Would agree. He was totally anonymous against us on Friday night for the hour he was on the field.

Allowing Barry Moran to sign a full-time contract was our worst signing. A striker without a goal to his name in the league.

Best signing of the season. Cost us nothing and made everybody underestimate us is the Setanta Cup

Surely Harpal Singh wins this no problem?

I agree. Played about 20 minutes of football all season. Was just back from injury and got injured again.

To buy out the remainder of his contract after he got injured I guess. Same as Armstrong.

where was that figure pulled out of ?

A very conservative guesstimate would involve buying out a E500 per week
six month contract = E12,000. He would not have been offered the full amount, or anything near it. E5,000 max.

The above is mere speculation.

Easy money for MYM all the same. However GUFC also saved a substantial sum.

Edit : United have two strikers who have made 34 appearances in the Premier Division between them this season and
have failed to score a single goal. Is this a record ?

Another one the UCD posse warned you about!

Paul Murphy's a curious nomination, incidentally. Since signing in the last transfer window, he's only played 26 minutes, but scored and generally looked lively. Does that count? He'd be a good player if Pat's hadn't let him get three stone overweight.

He was four stone overweight when we signed him...

possibly mere speculation ..... but from a Very good source!

the player signed a contract and is due the money he signed for, regardless if he is injured, suspended...etc. his contract was paid up, perhaps not in full but not far off, and he went about his merry business.
