Cup final is 2nd December, I'm sure clubs would release players.

Well if any EL player deserves it would be Shamrock Rovers no 1. Barry Murphy. Goals against this season proves that plus superb performances for the last three seasons. If Barry wants to it's only a matter of time before he goes on to play at a higher level. hopefully for Rovers it will be a while before he does, but he's undoubtedly quality.

Even though it hurts me to say it I have to agree.

Murphy has been excellent in the last couple of seasons. He made a stunning one handed stop from point blank range from an Owen Heary header last week.

Murphy would be in England if he was 5 inches taller. As it is unfortunately he can't command his box with authority and is prone to get beaten just under the bar. That said he's the best keeper I've seen in the league in recent years.

Id agree with this. Def should be at Championship level imo. But then again, why should he have to move? He will be playing European football next season, wont get that in the championship.

Colin Healy

Are you having a laugh?!!!

Healy has been very average so far for City.No way would I pick him.Joe Gamble miles ahead and even Stuey Byrne.

* Healy has not shown enough form but I still think he will get picked.
* Joe Gamble & Denis Behan the only City players I can think of.
* The remainder of eL players will depend on who they represented/advised by.

League has been rubbish this season so hard to find players that stood out.

Quigley maybe but we've a lot of decent strikers around the Championship.
I'd omit Barry Murphy for similar reasons though I think he's an excellent keeper. The top eL midfielders and centre-backs are certainly not far off Stans lot.
You also have to look at who has any remote chance of working his way in to the team in the medium-term future.
That rules out the likes of Stuey Byrne and Heary along with Trundle and Georgie .

I sincerely hope that is tongue in cheek - he's not even good enough for the Cork team

What about Joey Ndo? Could give us the creative spark missing from the midfield when Stan refuses to put in Andy Reid for no apparent reason...

Thanks for pointing that out to me... Appreciate it. Cause the sarcasm wasnt evident there at all...

Always thought 'Ndo' was originally a Mayo surname though...
