Noting to do with the football but wanted to know if there was a way of getting in touch with the Italian Chef that works at the complex. A nice guy and I think he might be able to help me track down some pasta flour for my son.
Also wondering if any of you know if there is a shop in Mick's Italian Quarter in Dublin that would sell it? Having no luck getting it anywhere and my son is sick of sieving flour 3 times when making home made pasta!
What flour are you looking for? I just use Strong, but I'm sure you should be able to pick up type 00 in a more specialised shop.

Yeah its the Tipo 00 flour we are looking for. He is sick of sieving the other stuff. Spent ages yesterday in Dundalk & Drogheda trying to track some down. Gonna check with the Italian restaurant in Monaghan too but just hoping to find a good source of it.
He is planning on making a little gourmet gift basket for his grandparents & other family members for christmas including some home made pasta. Also some of his yummy pasta sauces and some choc brownies will be included.
For me, home made pasta means buying
a bag of penne and cooking it at home :D

yeah same with me until Dylan discovered Jamie!
I use Strong flour and never (or usually don't) bother to sieve it. Certainly not three times. Does he have a pasta machine? I do plenty of rolling and folding on the thickest level before I get going, and never have any problems.

Yeah he has a pasta machine. Will get some strong flour and tell him that so!
