In light of the Harps result I think it's worth pointing out that many of our worst results in recent years have come when playing at St Mels. Last season our two best wins (vs. Kildare County and Dundalk) came away from home whereas we suffered a number of heavy defeats at home. By all accounts the performance in Terryland on Saturday was good, but any momentum is then lost when we give away two early goals to Harps.....

Perhaps the young local side feel more pressure when playing in front of their mates but we need to reverse this emerging trend quickly if we're to have a decent season.

Peace,
Ade

Yes, we tend to underachieve at home and usually in front of a good crowd and after some great away result.

We have Dundalk (away), Kildare (away) in the next two games. These are two of the leagues fancied sides but I see no reason that given the correct mental approach, proper team selection and organisation that we could not get great results and set us up with a great next home game and a great crowd with probable leaders Bray.

We must get results from these games otherwise we can call the season over with nothing to play for.

Come on Jimmy and the lads, ye can do it.
