first of all hello. i'm new to this so bare with me.
now about judge, i personaly think that cook should leave him on the bench against ucd. it will be a wake up call to him because since he signed a new contract he hasn't been giving 100%. he knows that hes the only forward on our books and so is usually the first on the team sheet but leavin him on the bench might wake him up and get him back to his best.
Toughts????

Under normal circumstances ya might have a point , but who do you bring in instead ? not many options , especially as we need to win all our games so we cant afford to drop an important player

yes hes an important player but when hes not giving 100% he shouldn't be playin. we could always play gordon or someone like cash upfront with faz.

true. its our biggest problem at the moment. one or two players get injured/suspended and we strugle.

Judge would probably love the rest, Most of the players could do with a rest but we just dont have that luxury.
I think the 'Great Judge Debate' has been exhausted. But it was Great 7.40pm - 8.07pm

judge has performed beyond all expectations this season despite having a hard time with injuries and been released by rob mcdonald, he is one of the reasons we are in a good league position, think its a bit unfair to devote a whole thread to him after a few bad games, every player has a dip in form at some point, hopefully this is his and he will have a strong finish to the season,

true but a player is only as good as his last prefomance and its not just his lack of goals but more his lack of effort.
this isn't a personal attack on judge, i respect him greatly as a player but hes need to improve for the final games.

to be honest i can't believe this debate is even happening.anybody who knows judgie will know he's 100% commited and always gives his all.he's been absolutely brilliant for us this season and has had to carry all the responsibility of being the only striker in the squad.is it any wonder he's looking a bit tired.here's another fact...he's got more goals for us this season than mct or mansaram did last season and in my opinion thats a decent achievement because they are quality strikers.judgie has been one of our best players this season so get off his case.there are some people with very short memories around here.....

Judge does need to work on his goal celebrations though. Shocking stuff:D.

Like most clichés that populate the world of football this statement is complete and utter nonsense. Do you seriously think that any manager of any team at any level would adopt such a policy?

I think Judge is the best forward at the club in the last 10 years

The last decent center forwards at Premier Division level I can remember were Marcus Hallows and Padraig Moran in his prime and that must be 10 years ago

get off matt judges case - he is a quality centre forward who has scored and created numerous goals all season - the best strikers dont track back and tackle but i have to say he runs and runs to close down full backs - this is sometimes to his detriment because he is whipped by the time he gets the ball in a scoring position. i have been watching rovers since 1980 and the only striker who i could compare to him is eddie annand.
whatever about doubting the likes on mansons attitude this is way out of order on matt judge

i don't think any1 wud be mental enough to compare judgey to manson but he does get lazy at times, that's why cook used to always takes him off early&that's why he did what he did with the contract situation. judgey just needs fans urging him on to keep him workin hard. for me judgey is the best since annand as well even though i think he gets lazy sometimes

if you can accept him when playing well then support him when he goes off the boil. getting on his case will do nothing. he's prob in need of a rest but as been said the squad numbers are too low for that. There are points to play for so doubt he'll get rested before end of season.

judge is a class act, no doubting that....some of the things he has done this year have been unbelievable, when he first came back to the club a few games into the season i wasnt expecting anything like what he has given us! he was very good when he got the ball on friday night, and he worked over and back the front line aswell....many times he's just a loan striker, as faz likes to drop off and get the ball in the midfield, leaving judgy isolated
