Greg O'Dowd has left Dundalk to sign for UCD.

The 28-year-old midfielder replaces Ciarán Kavanagh at Belfield, who moved in the opposite direction this summer after being offered a contract at Oriel Park.

Dubliner O'Dowd realised that he was unlikely to hold down a regular place with the Lilywhites this season, whom he joined from Drogheda United a year ago. He is now set to partner Ciarán Martyn in UCD's midfield.

We're now signing Dundalk rejects, the future looks bleak.

If its not too much bother could someone send me via e-mail or PM this season's team inc new signings. I'm preparing for my first LTFC match report (for a local radio station) on August 19th V UCD and I'm trying to get my hands on all the information i can before the game. Thanks

An inspirational signing. THis isn't going to be a fun season.

Come back Kav, all is forgiven!!

Having now seen him in action in Oriel, my worst fears were confirmed. His first touch was to take a corner which he kicked straight out of play. I can only think he was a Dundalk spy and will leave now to be replaced by a Longford player for the next game.
