great result lads as i type dundalk are 3 down, if it stays that way well be 6 clear at the top,
great game today some good football on display, the scoreline flatered atlone , could easily have been 5-6, final third still let us down (im just greedy:D), good work for the goals everone done well for the weather, thought i was gonna collpase on the terrace, there keeper made two class saves before we banged in the second, great work lads lim37 next week (if they dont fold in the meantime:D), another 3 points would be georgious,
nice to see a minutes applasue for paddy shortt, they had a two page write-up in the program also, i was at the under 21 game last night they had a minutes silence also, its easy to see he was a well respected man,

Great result and with Dundalk losing all the sweeter..minutes applause superb..Was told last night that the minutes silence before the senior international was for Shorty also....if this is true it goes to show how much people thought of him....

Great game yesterday, I was really impressed with the determination and drive of the team.........a few should have been playing at 7.30 and we wouldn't have drawn to an injury time goal:rolleyes:
They kept the pressure on Athlone the whole time but needed to, any dip and Athlone were starting to threat again.
Davin had a superb game again, Meady too.
With the Dundalk result we are sitting pretty now, can't get too excited though, there are too many teams after picking up their games, it will be tough to keep the unbeaten run going but if we don't drop our guard or get too confident and keep playing with the skill and determination of last night it can be done.
It will be the biggest achievement since '83 IMO.

Well done Hendo, Well done team, keep the focus and let the good times roll:D

Great result again. The lads must be oozing confidence at this stage on the back of a 25 game unbeaten run. At any level that's fantastic stuff. The finishing line is coming into view now so hopefully they continue to take it 1 game at a time.

Very professional job done against Athlone... now it's one game at a time... no references to the "finishing line in sight" please... the only way you should look at one is over your shoulder when you're not going to bump into anyone in front of you.... well done lads keep the focus..

They are usually of better quality but had trouble with the sun behind the clubhouse end goal for the entire match.
