Cork two draws from last two home games - lost at home to Sligo a week or two before that - not having a great season at all, very inconsistent, majority of fans want Rico out

Mick Devine suspended - Mark McNulty a slight doubt, Sean Kelly out and Behan a doubt also

Two away wins against "big" clubs in the space of a week? Certainly a real possibility for UCD

Will Mahon go with one striker or will Sammon be partnered by Purcell again?

Was good to see Purcell starting again -he impressed at the beginning of the season - and Conan Byrne back also is good

McWalter I think has been poor since return - maybe isnt fully fit?

Is Alan Mahon suspended? Did he get additional games for the Derry incident or is he available?

Cork, by their own standards, haven't been good this season. With O'Donovan gone they have no goal threat- O'Flynn hasn't been great this season- we don't have anything to fear. McNulty is rated doubtful with a 45 year old Harrington set to play if he doesn't make it.:D

I'd pick the team that played most of the game against Drogheda, with Doyle coming back for McWalter if he is fit. If not Fitzy. Crowley had an excellent game, one of his best for the club, and although I'd usually have Finn ahead of him I'd leave him in the team.

Purcell did well in the second half last week- just needs to cut out the moaning to officials and going down with little/no contact and concentrate on performing.

McWalter isn't match fit- hasn't played much since he came back from injury. Mahon wasn't down in the last suspension list at all so presumably he is available, although he will be doing well to get back into the team.

Either McWalter or Purcell looked to have a hamstring problem when they had just been substituted and were walking down to the UCD bench past the main stand - i cant for the life of me remember which one it was though as they were both subbed within a few mins of each other (i think)

Hard to change a winning team but I would like to see Kenna at centre back maybe Mcdonnell or Crowley in midfield and mahon at right back

Also if mcwalter isnt fit Shane Fitz

As a UCD fan all this optimism feels plain wrong. I go for Mahon and Doyle to come back in and the team to play worse and lose.;)

I think Pete will stick with the same defence as last Monday as it was more or less what he intended at the start of the season.

Mahon---McNally---McDonnell---Kenna

In the meantime we signed Bermingham who had been excellent and now that Tony Mc is playing well again I'd be inclined to think he will leave Mahon out of the team, although it wouldn't surprise me at all if that won't be the case.

BTW are you going Doc? Always nice to get a neutral opinion.:)

Very unlikely I will make it down - its a trek

I have only missed one home game though and have been at 5 or 6 away games! And I will be in Sligo at the weekend!

I rate Shane Fitz highly - maybe a bit raw but huge potential

Funnily enough after all my criticism of Fitz this could be the game for him if Darragh Ryan is starting at left back. Fitz has the pace to exploit Ryan's lack of positional awareness. That said, COnan has the ability to give him a torrid time too. Then again I'd be worried about the overlapping attacking threat of Kearney and Ryan against a right flank of Fitz and Mahon.

This will be only the second game I'll miss all season in all competitions.:(

majority of fans want Rico out

I wouldn't be sure of that.
Could definitely turn us over though.

Is this game on the radio anywhere? Any local stations or anything?

Always a chance of a goal. How many have gone in the last couple of minutes already this year?

****** that anyways. Really inconsistent lately! Sligo away next - bad form, but then so were Cork. Then two big games at home to Waterford and Bray.

Team - UCD: Quigley; Mahon, Kenna, McNally (McMillan 66), Bermingham; Byrne, Crowley (Hynes 77), McFaul, McWalter (Finn 77); Sammon, Purcell.

Report on eL website (http://www.eircomloi.ie:82/the-divisions/premier-division/match-reports/week-25-1/week-25-4/index.xml).

McNally injured, it looks like? Strange sub to make otherwise. Could do without that...

McSweeney (nice name btw) would have to finally play well against us. Maybe he was motivated by my comment that Sammo was better than him. I think posting on other teams forum before games is some sort of a jinx for me...*

*although I blame the fella who bet €20 on us to win.

Conan Boyle was fairly impressive for you guys tonight. first time getting to see Sammon proper hes strong but the city defence were tall enough and physical enough to him relatively quiet. Some good moves early on nice passing but oce city got goin they were always gonna get the points.

Conan (Byrne BTW) has been great for us all year, keeps the ball really well and has a good cross too. Good to see that he seems to have got his place back after being very harshly dropped IMO.

Your lads played well enough and had McNulty not made that save in the second half it might have been a closer scoreline................but, with the chances City created you did well not to leak another three.
