And hasn't played once. Making him the most pointless loan signing of all time

God i can't believe Seamie Coleman is not in the squad again.

Strange alright that a lad who cant get his game for a first division team is in and someone playing well for a premier team isn't.

Who's in ahead of him at his postition?

I'm hoping only a matter of time before we see a few Wexford Youths players making these squads.

4 of the players who played when we beat Athlone away were only 17 years old.

Haverty's a centre half so he's not up against him. And Noel's been playing for Ireland the last couple of years

He is.

In that case its a really stupid decision by a manager who keeps failing to get us to any tournaments despite the talent we have had over the last few years.

Have you ever seen Bermingham play? Quality player; well worth inclusion.

McCaffrey has a generally good track record at the underage levels, with some good wins.

Obviously players in in england will be included as thats where they are based , my point being that there is more than Dublin in ireland , its easy to look at a list and see whos eligible in england , its lazy what can you do, but whats unforgivable is just asking your mates coaching in Dublin and saying ye sher ill have him , how do you spell that name

You wouldnt understand your a jackeen

Not quite sure about that now actually. All the players (at least all I checked, most of them) are born in 1989. I presumed that players born in 1988 would be eligable, similar to schoolboy football. Can any confirm this?

Firstly Dublin has around 3 times the population of the rest of the country so naturally there will be more good footballers from Dublin.

Everything else you say is complete ********. You clearly don't have a clue about the current underage setup. McCaffrey is picking players he has worked with before and knows are well capable of performing at this level. Also seeing as there was more country players picked than Dublin players in the last U-17 squad there is clearly an anti-Dublin bias? Anyone that thinks there is some sort of conspiracy or anti-country attitude when picking these squads is sad and deluded.

Your point might have some merit if Sean McCaffery was a Dub, but he isn't. He doesn't pick his squads on hearsay either.
