This guy has alienated Owen Garvan and Anthony Stokes, two of his best eligible U-21 players. Why does he still have a job? What kind of muppet calls a 19 year old kid out for a screw-up in the public media? Give him a lashing behind closed doors ffs. What is Don Givens personally bringing to the table that outweighs his inability to field the most talented squad for Ireland in matches against the likes of Portugal and England?

Both Stokes and Garavan have very bad reputations and Stokes was a total Arsehole when the u21's played in Terryland last year full of his own importance. He was a fool last week and got caught out why blame Givens for that?

Guftc you say Garavan has very bad reputation not a direct quote but can you back up what you mean by this. I understand Stokes but was Garvan not just homesick with persnal problems Im not sure that equals having a very bad reputation! Unlesss you know something diffrent?

he also had run in with richie foran at one stage. bottom line is he shouldnt be speaking to the press about what are essentially youth players. he should be fired. hes never got results and hes always courted conflict. would like to see dolan get it.

He'll get a great reception at Turners Cross for the two games. We'll make sure he knows what the public feel about him.

He is a pillock that seems that seems to want to run to the media with stuff that should be kept behind close doors. As Irelands number 1 striker David Connolly should know

Too right. It was totally unprofessional for Givens to provide the press a running commentory of the Anthony Stokes saga last week.

He keeps his job as the expectations for U21 boss are non existent. He also won't criticise his employer.

It is idiotic going to the press about these issues. What purpose can that serve? He has done this before remember.

number 2, behind Keane ;)
Stuff that should be behind closed doors and stuff that isn't even necessarily true (for all we know)

To be fair I'd class that as a positive thing...

Keith Foy springs to mind too. Straight to the press with his shenanigans. Prob a positive thing too but no need for that lark.

Never liked him TBH. Delaney has him in there and backed him personally for 2 contact extensions. I know this for a fact.
