Nice test, and with confidence, hunger and belief growing within the team since the UCD performance at belfield a draw would be massive with the drogs at home the following week.

Itll be a big test alright. Both teams after having good Derby wins. I dont think we will be parking the team bus on the goal line like the last time. Id say it will be a very difficult game to get anything from

I'm looking forward to the game - it'll be the first chance I've had to see United this season and am sticking around Ireland for long enough to catch the Drogheda game too. :D

Ive said it elsewhere our next four games are the hardest we will have all season and if we get through it with 6 points ill be happy.Cork are by far the best footballing team we have played all year but our dander is up so here goes another three points on Friday Glynny and Flynny to get the goals.

Can someone please ask the club to bring our home kit to Cork this time.
Bray were not allowed to wear their white away jersey last night by the ref.(Gough the plonker from Limerick), and had to wear Cork jerseys. Terrible state of affairs & I'm sure their sponsor was delighted to see them playing live on tv in another teams kit. Was surprised when we got away with wearing our white jersey the last time in Cork, especially as it was on tv.

What was the logic in that??? Why didnt cork just wear their own away jerseys. Bloody daft and it must have givin the anti LOI armchair fans somthing to really laugh about :o

They're very good odds for a Galway win imo.
City are so erratic, its unbelievable.
The first ten minutes should tell a lot.
If the fans get on Citys back, its half the work done.

Still 0-0 in Turner's Cross

Waterford and Bray both losing, Longford 0-0 with Rovers in Tolka.

Would be a good point for United if we can hold on to it.

longford win again!!. auto-relegation is coming into sight though, but at least Bray have been included into the battle and we have a small gap!!

Good point.

Longford are coming with a charge but at least we've dragged Bray back into the mixer.

A good point for us. Couldn't trouble their stand in keeper though when it went down to 10. Four game unbeaten run will be tested by Drogs and Rovers.

We haven't dragged Bray into this. If we hadn't handed them 3 points at Terryland they'd be in even bigger trouble.

I'm not that frustrated with the result really.
A good match and we couldn't have done any more really except for having a striker.

Oh lads i think you will be safe enough for automatically going down actually i don't think you will even be in the playoff.

Now I'm ****ing really worried...

is right, It was exciting stuff in the second half and cork should have been 2 up at half time. Still our defense were excellent and Cork were very afraid of Glynns pace and he worked his socks off and didnt get a lot of help from those around him. How anyone can call oflynn a footballer is beyond me. Our team is very limited and will need serious additions if we do avoid the drop

Good Craic down in Cork ( Including Meeting the Players outside and making a drunken **** of myself talking waffle to them :o) But i have to agree we lacked any killer bite. A point is all well and good but we where hopeless up front and the amount of times we gave City back possesion with terrible passing was just beyond believe:confused: We dont seem to have a leader out there or anyone just to take slight control of the game . Im fearful for friday night to say the least

The Cork midfield had a tight grip on the game and as a result United had very little possession and indeed very few opportunities.

Given the possession enjoyed by Cork I was more than happy with a point. And while it was frustrating that we didn't trouble their stand in keeper, if United fans were offered a point beforehand, most would have taken it.

Twas good craic as well - my first game of the season, and was good to see all the old faces - many indeed from buses back in the early 90's!

Roll on Drogheda.

Will do - that might even fit in with my plan to take in a match at every league ground in London this season!

Mind you I only have Dagenham & Redbridge so far, though I'm off to see Orient shortly after I get head back to London.

Back on topic ... Roll on Friday!! It'd be good to get some more points on the board.

Any news on Regi?
