Surely it can be picked up somewhere a bit cheaper. I'd love to get my hands on one, best jersey ever!

I have it (and the away - best jersey ever!)...and without the ghastly sponsor, so it's an official replica:p

Pity i had to grow up and they don't fit me anymore:(

I offered an obscene amount of money to a guy on an away trip for his. I was obviously plastered and he told me not a chance. If I won some money on the dogs I'd give it a lash

Slightly off topic but I noticed the last day in Lifestyle that they were selling classic Liverpool "Candy" jersies. The ones with the grey flecks. So maybe classic retro shirts will make a comeback on the high street.

Yeah, the large one near the Omniplex. Home and yellow away one. 60 euro I think.

I've seen the tracksuit tops about, but no jerseys. Their away jersey around this period (Candy) was grey:

I used to have that Irish jersey (size: medium youth), god knows where it is now. They come up on ebay from time to time, saw one go for STG £50.

I have a long sleeve version of that somewhere in the attic ... tore the OPEL off though .. the good old days when you could easily remove the sponsors from the jersey. will have to dig it out again now that its become so trendy!

just keep an eye on ebay...they sometimes have decent ones there. I managed to get the 1990 sans sponsor for 40 Euro on there...which was handy!

Lifestyle Sports etc etc must have boxes of them languishing in a warehouse somewhere.

An employee with some entreprenurial spirit should spend some time checking their warehouses and flog them for €20 a go.

I have the yellow goalkeeper jersey from Italia 90. But once again, I was seven at the time so no chance of it fitting :(

Just thinking back to Euro 88 . . . I always loved that Germany home kit, the one with the stripes across the front. A classic.

Amazingly, I also have that jersey with number 10 on the back!

Feck paying that lads, theres a similar one here for half the price, and its made out of cotton and not that awful stuff they use for the replicas (or maybe thats just me).

I know its not the original, but its not a bad subtitute.

Damn, threw mine away years ago. 90 smackers buys a lot of Staropramen.

Swopped my 94 home jersey with some homeboy in Orlando for a Michael Jordan shirt. The guy thought it was his birthday.

Still have the best away jersey though - the away one from 94. Doesnt fit me though.

Here's a pic of the away from '88.

I wanted to upload Packie Bonners jersey and the home too, but it says I'm exceeding my limit.

How do I resize my photos, to make the file smaller?

God no, that was the 'I had a Macedonia' shirt...the '94 away jersey had a white background with 3 vertical green stripes from the shoulders down which faded towards the stomach and had an orange sponsors logo...

It's my favorite football top of all time, even if I broke my leg wearing it 18 months ago...I won the fecking ball though :D

Its a pity Adidas dont come out with a replica of the Italia 90 shirt like they did for Liverpool and Milan kit.

Would be quality. Sick of being outbid on ebay for them!

Those adidas jerseys from 88 through to 90 - and the Euro 92 qualifiers campaign shirts (home and away) - were cracking. It was a golden era for adidas: Hibs, Liverpool, France, Germany, USSR, Shamrock Rovers and Cork City (similar to West Germany's) all had excellent adidas shirts around this time.
