I recall fondly the orange wispas I took from the shop I worked in, in lieu of payment as I got **** wages. Many's the happy lunchtime meal they augmented.

I don't think they ever went away really, just re-branded dairy milk bubbly.
I'm all for a proper comeback though. I liked the orange ones too. :)

Dairy milk bubbly wasn't just a re-brand of Wispa. Production problems made it difficult to manufacture, but the Dairy Milk Bubbly was a slightly different texture. It's all to do with the bubbles.

October I think. 1 million bars being released onto the british and irish market. If sales are good it'l be brought back properly

Great that Wisaps are back but preferred the mint version. Dont know has the ad been shown in Ireland... but that drumming gorilla ad for Cadburys. Well made and all that. But what the hell does a gorilla have to do with chocolatE?

Dont think id the pleasure, where they not a product of the South ? Our occupation also deprived us of proper Tayto cheese & onion, we have had to make do with a 2nd rate Tayto crisp produced in Co Down..... dont start me on Sam Spuds either !!

Armagh actually... northern taytos are so much better, ones down here don't have the kick that the northern salt n vinegar and northern cheese n onion do. Going up next weekend, can't wait, slurp.
As for Wispas, not a chocolate fan, but i did try one the other day, alright i suppose. Give me Lindt's dark chocolate anyday, now that's proper chocolate, not that dairy milk kack!

My mistake, never had the pleasure of visiting the castle so guess i need get my facts right eh...Down aint that far away sure ha.
I have to totally disagree, the Tayto in the South have much more flavour, the cheese n onion variety anyway, im sure my fellow Northerners will agree !!
Why is the Tayto man different on the packets in the North and the South???
