Open letter to Messrs Eddie Jordan, JP McManus, John Magnier and Dermot Desmond. (and probably Bono soon?)

Your collective wealth means that you could probably buy Manhattan.....or a good bit of it!

It's your dosh so you get to do with it as you please. Part of that 'as you please' seems to involve investing in foreign football teams, some claiming some loose connections to Ireland.

Can you not consider putting some of the 'loose change' into the local game on this Island and be recognised for making a real and genuine contribution, when it is so badly needed? Even though you are 'tax exiled' in awful places like Switzerland, you could still get to see the odd local game, involving local lads........even some like the lads you grew up with.........before you got filthy rich.

Where's your true public spirit? Are you really interested in the same game on foreign soil, or do you want even more dosh from investing in these other clubs? (share prices look iffy?)

Now look lads.......get the cheque book out....sign down at the bottom, and the lads in the league will fill out the rest. You won't even notice the difference.......hardly a blip on the old statement.

Punts or swiss francs are acceptable....and life membership for you all....what more could you want?:)

You gobsh!te magoo!

Only want that kinda investment if it is spread around the league. No good if one/ a few club(s) gets all the investment.
