Never really had a chance at Pats. Remember him at galway and he's a fine player but was involved ion the worsrt tackle ever at a Pats reserve game (apparently) The same tackle broke his leg in two places, broke his collarbone and also snapped numerous ligaments. One player puked when he saw the state of him and the ref blew up early. That was about 18 moths ago and he hasn't played for our first team since...

Sorry I beat you to it. :D
I remember Foley playing a couple of years ago with Galway and Pats. If my mind serves me correctly Foley won a champioship medal with Pats a few years ago. Did you ever hear of him?

Ok he was supposed to sign for us one summer and had the accident on holiday. We signed him the following summer adn he was installed as club captain. However Colm Foley came along and played brilliantly pre season and Foley only played about 2/3 ganmes for us before the horrendous tackle in Dalymount. This absolutely did happen (like I said about 18 moths ago) He came back towards the end of last seson but didn't play for our first team.

No he didn't win a championship medal

He's about 24/25. A defensive midfielder for Galway. Dolan wanted him as centre half

well thats not too bad if he can play in midfield, we are sorely lacking in quality midfielders

can't say but following ws on the cliftonville web siteand it is dated 13 jan 2003, so he should still be with them, but there was a big clear out of players at pats so he could just have been released

Cliftonville manager Marty Tabb has signed former Galway United defender Kieran Foley on a three month loan deal from Eircom League Of Ireland side St Patrick's Athletic. He was due to make his debut in the 4-3 defeat to Coleraine but his international clearance from the Football Association Of Ireland came through too late so he is like to make his first start against Glentoran
