Hi, A friend of mine recently moved over from the UK. Shes a nurse and wants to work here but the Irish Nurses Assoc are dragging their heels in regards to granting her a licence to work here. She applied in May and was told she would have to wait 6 weeks, its well beyond that now. What should she do ? Shes rang them everyday for weeks now ! Dept of Trade and Employment maybe ?
Any help.
Thanks.

She should contact An Bord Altranais. This is the organisation that nurses register with.
They should be able to advise her of whats required. All nurses are required to submit copies of their quals to an Board Altranais before they can work as a Nurse in Ireland.
