Monaghan and kilkenny are tricky teams- ask Dundalk and Limerick
Didn't Cobh fail to score in Athlone, Wexford and Kilkenny this season?:rolleyes::D

Now your talking
But we are ssoooooooooooo far behind Dundalk in the league that we'll NEVER catch them :D and the free flowing football Cobh play, well its a real joy to watch oh but they aint even in the cup.

Just like Cobh on Sunday
I dont think we did, and john Gill siad we came to win it too. Everyone thought we'd go 4-5-1 but we didn't, didnt change the formation or team(without suspensions) from the Kilkenny game, hendo could have easily went 4-5-1 our bench had a striker, 2 midfielder, defender and keeper. So be a bit fair, we went out to win in but at times had to weather the storm and sit back, ye dominated little spells, all of which we overcame.
9 men behind the ball for second half :D.
We beat Kilkenny 4-1:p

Everyone the kilkenny thing sounds so stupid now. Cobhs centre halfs were in our box more than their strikers but they got what they came for and a good result so far play its over now.
Finn Harps are not sooooooo far behind but still behind, you never know whats gonna happen, if we win all our remaining games you cant catch us, the same if cobh do neither of us can catch them, so the BACK IN YOUR BOX stuff makes you sound like a fool mate sorry

Aye, thats another thread murdered by bragging about beating Kilkenny and being on a good run
As for the cup, I think tomorrow night will be a 1-1 draw between ourselves and UCD. Something we don't need, we're doing bad enough without the need for extra games!

Philly Hughes needs a goal. That chance against you on Sunday...last season, goal, this season, straight at the keeper. Hopefully we'll get another decent crowd up, not many have had better crowds this season, great to see, but we need to get back to winning ways quick.
Whats your likely line up for the Quarter Finals?
I'll go
Sligo
Bohs
Pats
Derry (after a replay)
Cork
Limerick
Longford
Dundalk/UCD (can't ...or won't... call it!)

2 munster teams, after scalpin us they'll be confident, if they know anything about limerick they'll know there in serious trouble at the moment, big presssure on mcgee and players, yet again they have nothing to lose.

The way Pats are going they will be MId Table by end of season, and as always win nought. If you can find a bigger crowd than will appear at the Derry Finn Harps match this weekend then I'll take it all back, but cant see any other match that will attract a larger crowd, so why shouldnt it be televised. You have the most inform team apart from Drogs in both leagues, and the current cup holders away to their local rivals. So why shouldn't it be televised.
how ae u the other inform team apart from drogs at the moment...u sheepies really are losing the run of yourselves, rovers are playing far better stuff in the premier, your doing it against kilkenny and the likes, and a friendly v celtic...

Weaker opposition, thats ********, no one brought that into it. Of course its weaker opposition, but you can only beat whats put in front of you. Cobh haven't lost in what, 23 games? That to me is the best run ANYONE in this country has gone on all season. Of course I hope its put to an end quick, but you can't take away from a run like that, regardless of the opposition.

Sligo or us to win outright.
Id agree with most of that except Derry to beat us after a replay. And Bohs or Pats to win outright.
I think Ourselves, Dundalk would take promotion over a place in the quarter finals any day.
All messin aside theres a long way to go in the 1st Div and any of the 3 can win it, but theres a 1st Div thread already so.......................... lets all argue in there

Easily the best Cup tie I've been to anywhere ever

Went on a bit of a betting rampage there...Money on all the games. :o
Dundalk vs UCD (hate betting on us, but having seen Harps when they're in form, I'd have to hope we can beat Dundalk out of form)
Bray vs Pats (5/2 good odds on Bray, I think)
Cork vs Kilkenny
Waterford vs Sligo
Harps vs Derry - draw
Limerick vs Douglas - draw
Longford vs Fanad
Malahide vs Bohs

Stu I wouldn count beating Dundalk as a fore-gone conclusion either, their minds should be set on the 1st Div BUT they will be no push over. Also when ye played us we were missing 6 1st team players (not making excuses btw) Higsy rested 2 players we had 1 suspended and 3 injured that night and of coarse the very mobile Parkhouse played CM that night too :p. Anyway point is, that I wouldn use that game as an example for Dundalk. Tryin to save ya a little money  Personally I wouldn't bet on that game.
