Hunt admits to no rest

Bohemians captain Kevin Hunt admits that the start of the news season of summer soccer meant that the champion’s players had little or no rest before they resumed pre-season training.

It is only ten-weeks since Bohs’ clinched the league crown and with preparations or the new season starting almost immediately, the last couple of months have been hectic for the Dalymount side.

“We were back for pre-season early, there wasn’t much of a break,” revealed Hunt.

However, rather than admitting fatigue, the captain believes they are in better shape than ever. “It’s gone really well. We’re probably fitter than other seasons when we came back. All the lads have been putting in hard work.”

After taking their second eircom league in three-years, Bohs’ enjoyed a 3-1 friendly victory over Spurs, which has increased expectations for the new season.

"I think the supporters are still on a high from that result ore than the players. At the end of the day, it what we do I our next match that counts.”
