"Your ma" I'd call it. Then I'd sit back as the commentary and interviews made me snigger like a school girl. ".....And Ruby Walsh rides your ma to victory in the Grand National.."
"a horse" could make things confusing.
Might be lies but I heard that Robbie Fowler and Steve McManaman had/have
horses called "Some Horse" and "Another Horse"
... and its some horse in the lead, followed by another horse ...

"a horse" could make things confusing.
Was it Fowler and McManaman who owned two horses, "Some Horse" and "Another Horse" for just that reason?
EDIT: Ash, fools seldom differ!

They definitely own/ed horses alright, but the HRA would not let you use a name like "Some Horse" because of the confusion it would cause to commentators and the like.

Fur cough.
Alas, also banned as a horse name. As, I'd say, are most of the ones suggested.

Funnist I ever hear, was a dog or horse ( can't remenber which) called 'around the outside'. Owners were forced to change the name with all the confusion it was causing!

I once saw a horse running in an American race called Spunky Bottom! I think. Can't find it on the racing post site.

Worked on a documentary on horse racing in Britain last year and met a young lad who'd just entered his horse named, "The Mrs" into its first race. Aint a clue if it's still running but can just imagine how happy the commentators wives must have been ...

If it was running in the Grand National I'd call it either:
"Blinded and Lame" or "Certain Death"

Its a bit long for a horse name.
Could always name it "Bostic" or "Cat Food"
