Im going to look like a bit of a plank ( what other way would i look some might say )with "paul_oshea" as a label on me jersey, for those "not in the know" of foot.ie. At least babysis, GT etc has some sorta snazzy jazz to him, but an actual name will make people think i am a thick at some networking party, so to help people remember my name

So where do we meet for the foot.ie meet up stuff? I know GT and babysis so i spose if i look out for them ( stick out like a sore thumb in fairness :jokes: ) they can point me to you aidoM

The cheek ! :D Hermann :p Did ya not meet aidom in stuttgart on the grassy knoll??

Moscow Mule
23/08/2007, 8:24 PM
Keep posting the foot.ie names as I'm heads up on the labels (with 2 seperate sheets for Bear  :p :D )

Aido,

Moscow Mule and Mrs Moscow will be in attendance and look forward to having nice labels.

I will have labels for all "mrs" travelling with their foot.ie husbands (no sign of any "mr" travelling with their foot.ie wives  :p) There are 4 "mrs" so far with 123 on the list of foot.ie people

Seriously YES at about 4pm on the Saturday in Stuttgart. I was not one of the derry lads (TG) and probably did look at you weirdly (or should that be looked at the weirdo  :D)

It was a life changing experience for me

Yes you did meet him, and I didnt think you were that sober tbh

There were Derry lads with us - one of them is DCFC1985 (he was one of the two lads wearing the bavarian hats like me and GT) but all the other derry ones were people we met there, and no, none of them were AidoM. :D

Ok I beleive you Babysis. :)

But i have heard of being reminded/remembering things 2 days later/after an event but 1 year is unreal, none of that I can remember bar the derry lads. Did I introduce myself as "paul_oshea" at any point?
I do remember GTs NBF though, she was a lovely lady actualy :) Had a great chat with her as well, unfortunately I cant remember any of it :o

No you spent the time insisting you were called Herman the German :D That woman was very nice, we just random;y met her - like everyone else there that day. The Derry lads were easy to remember - there were loads of them.

Anyway, back on topic, we will make sure to introduce you to AidoM this time

The labels will be sign in handles - yours being paul_oshea.

The proper handles will be used even to the extent that I have checked out capital letters, gaps etc in them from peoples posts.

There is no way you can opt out at this stage unless you seek a change of handle (to giblet :o) which is unlikely to be allowed by the Great Adam and even so I think a campaign would immediately be launched in opposition to such a change  :D

You can use euros, according to those in the know, but obviously you'll get stung on the exchange rates offered resulting in much less change......better to use some local currency

Any idea on overall numbers ?

Most people seem sorted for tickets as there are a few spares floating around.

FAI got 2500 plus a futher allocation ( how many? ), that would seem to be a reasonable estimate

paul_oshea
31/08/2007, 12:47 PM
5k it apperas newryrep, so expect around 5 thou irish fans

stiofain
31/08/2007, 12:47 PM
I wonder.
I think the FAI got around 6,000 tickets for the Slovakia game in the end. But as you say, there seems to be plenty of spares floating about. People cant seem to give them away at this stage.
Going on this, i'd estimate a guess that there will be just shy of 6,000 fans there at most.

Hornet, a dunce's hat for your counting yet again :p.

The number of foot.ie members on the roll call and on other threads as I have picked them up from this and other threads for the labels stood at 145 last night - and I will have labels for foot.ie members only :)
