They are talking about buying Manchester United jersies etc and there have been a few people suggesting that they spend their money on eL jersies instead.

I have sent in one but hasnt been read yet. Get to it people!

sent in a message myself. still hasn't been read out. now is our chance to get someone to properly discuss irish soccer and the state it is in on a national radio staton. if there is enough texts in they'll have to discuss it.

he could get someone on that knew what they were talking about but looks like he's going to push it aside like every other person in irish media.

TodayFM give almost no eL coverage. You would be better off ringing Joe Dufffffy & telling him how traumatised you are by the Sunderland tour...

ray d'arcy mentioned that they were flooded by texts about the jersey situation, most i'm sure with some refrences to supporting irish soccer and the eircom league but he stil pushed it aside.

Hows about we text an eL related message to almost every topic they discuss? That way we get it mentioned more often.

i.e. They were discussing red hair am tempted to text that we have a player with red hair but the fans dont give him abuse. Stuff like that!

Just thinkin, we could make it a competition to see which eL club gets the most mentions on Ray's show!

When all the rest go bust through over paying their players we will be the last team standing!! (well with Kilkenny City!)

I dont even make the tea at Mons! Poor Tom, he must think you were talking about the other 3 Mary's at Monaghan!

Heard the piece this morning and heard the texts sent in by some listeners in relation to eL shirts. In fairness Ray wouldn't be a great soccer man at all but I think he likes a good argument and debate and I think if you put an e-mail to him on the subject or a number of people do I think he will take it on. The argument of supporting clubs across the water is age old and could do with a good old thrashing out and a little bit of attention and focus brought to it. A few e-mails Ray's way, cleverly constructed and he will take it on. At the end of the day they want debate and response.

I laughed at the reference to Joe Duffffffffffyyyyyy. Joe will actually take anything on and even if your not traumatised Joe will tell ya you are traumitised. Funny show sometimes.

I remember texting Ian Dempsey before when he made a refernce as he so often does, including today, to 'United and Chelsea'. He read it out and like Ray's show he got a fair lock of texts on the matter.
