R.I.P. Tommy

Not a fan of the genre, but himself and the Clancy's were true masters of it, and rightly legends.

Aw. My dad knew him well from tours overlapping in the 70's & will be gutted when he hears this. I myself met him in the late 80's while I was doing my Junior Reporter bit for our School Magazine. I was waiting to Interview Stefan Denis (yes he of Neighbours & dodgy pop fame) and Tommy was stayin in the hotel where the interview was happening. I chatted with him & my Photographer took a pic of me with him. A total gentleman. RIP Tommy.

Yeah I actually talked a proffesional photographer mate of my dads into coming to take photos of Stefan Dennis & I. Still have them. Boy did I look cute! :D

Hard to believe but Bob Dylan used to open for Makem & The Clancy Brothers, way back when.

"Isn't it grand, boys, to be bloody well dead?"

I hope you're singing that above in heaven just now. God rest you Tommy, you gave inspiration to many that followed. :)
