thats a totally stupid statement to make .It has nothing to do with DROGHEDA UNITED WINNING THE LEAUGE ! Its about wether the town is a football town or not .Im from here and i know how much football is played here at different levels, under age etc .People in Drogheds are football mad .Not drogs mad but football mad .Premiership , celtic , Ireland and the rest of that crap .There is also lots of people into gaelic but not compared to football . Of course Dundalk is a football town , i never said it wasnt .They are the second most successful club in Ireland . So ? what has that got to do with Drogheda .Apart from the pain of seeing them fcukers winning for years :D

I personally dont see a problem with what drogs are doing with regards to their backers. We want people to be putting money into the game over here so why do people give out when it happens??From whats been said in the papers they have lodged planning permission for a new stadium which has recieved the backing of the councillors and this will generate them between 4-7 mill a year.All of which will be used to make them a stronger side bith on and off the field. They will definitely be a powerful force for years and years. Also, no soccer tradition- were they not formed in 1920 or something like that?They have produced a few Irish internationals. Im also involved in underage sides around the dublin area and their sides have dominated leagues in recent times.And have been prominent for a long time.

I would also keep galway on the list.The potential is there with regard to facilities and population, its just about bringing this out. Limerick the same but its about boosting the profile of the game in and around the area. Cork are always going to be there and there abouts too with the stadium and population at their disposal. It'll be interesting to see if theres any difference in attendences, facilities etc within the next 5 years.
