View Full Version : Flyers
Gotta flyer off a pleasant young lady at the Fosters Ave/ Dualer crossroads today. I see families are gettin in for a tenner with face painting, stilt walkers & balloons & stuff going on. Whats the bets this ploy, as many before, fails to impact our attendances? Incedentally I also got a "Roar on Leinster RFC" flyer at Lansdowne DART station today aswell. Stiff competition for D4 methinks.
Anyway, fair play to whoevers idea it was to canvas again. I hope it works out. Were there many kids/ families at the last home game?

I don't think the club should be congratulated on such a "brainwave". It's the most basic form of advertising for matches and was not been done by the club. And they are wondering why attendences are low? About time something has been done but I think they are targeting the wrong market.

Is that a joke? Seriously though if I can give a hand with anything I would be willing to do so.

Dunno. Think there's a lot to be said for pleasant young ladies handing out flyers...........or anything else.
meanwhile, I see Leinster Rugby are running a tele ad for their season tickets (€209) on NTL105 or 106- Setanta or City Channel - can't remember which.
As usual there's never any shortage of dosh for the rugby fraternity.

Well I was joking but now that you've actually volunteered I'll start finding some tasks for you.

Funnily enough I agree that there should be no back slapping for this initiative and of course it may not work.
But 1 thing is certain. If we dont try it then it definitely wont work!
This is not the be all and end all for our marketing strategy.
It is a small start and as I keep saying I am open to suggestion for ideas.
Its great that you would like to be involved.
I've PMd you my details so get in touch and we can start work.

These kind of initiatives were tried before. But back then we did not have full time people able to co-ordinate the job therefore it fizzled out. We do not have that problem now. We have a full time Promotions person on the case.
