Hmmm, I was gonna say that I've been pretty impressed by him so far. maybe that's just me
Yes the 2 games you seen him play. Sammy isnf fit for a start, he came here and is improving his fitness because he hadnt been playing in a while. Also he was stuck up front on his own against 4 international defenders in soaring temperatures and humidity. He was excellent against Sligo in his first game and was a sub against Bohs, so making statements that he is the worst player in the EL ever is a load of ****!! You lot have had your fair share of ****e players yourselves

He's a good player but I can see why he hasn't "made it" yet. His close control and footwork is very impressive, but he tends to get excited and p1ss away possession. Certainly has potential but he's not particularly useful at the moment.

I've been impressed with him. Though he doesn't look quite up to speed.
Ger Canning mentioned he'd a "cruciate leg" injury, this coming from the same man who informed us that Mark Farren scored 18 goals in Derry's 2005 Championship winning side.

Sam's a quality player and i have been impressed with him since he joined us. However in your view he may not be in the class of Porkhouse at Harps. The games all about opinions.
shouldnt this be in the Derry section?

Thought I heard that alright. Canning has got to be one of the worst commentators out there.
Morrow wasnt that bad over the two legs. Obviously not match fit yet.

I have to say i was impressed with him against Pyunik. Showed some very good touches and skill. With some more games to get his match fitness up to scratch he could turn out to be a decent player. He did do some stupid things like giving the ball away cheaply but he was playing up front on his own. Cant beleive im defending a derry city player :D

Only ever followed the player's progress through the papers, but I daresay he may be suffering from going straight from the Scottish close season into the Eircom mid season i.e. his lack of match fitness is holding him back.
I remember reading that one of the reasons why Kevin Doyle made such an instant impact at Reading was that he did the reverse. I've noticed, too, that players who sign fro English clubs from Scandinavia in July/August often do better than those signing in January.
That said, by the time they get to the end of their first English season in June, they will have been playing solid for nearly 18 months, so are suceptible to burnout/injury. (Steffen Iversson was esp badly treated by Spurs on that count)

Incase you hadnt noticed, Derry bought the Brandywell for £1 and have got the go-ahead to re-develop as long as they get funding. And rather play in the Brandywell than a ****hole like Finn Park.;)

Slight correction there, we will be buying it in 6 months time £1 for if and when funding is available.
