Raf is suspended. So is Gerry Carr (http://www.walkthechalk.com/content.php?show=eircom_suspensions).
This will be seriously tough but I think we can certainly win this if we put in the effort. Shams are nothing special, think it's the fact they have a good manager that has them where they are in the league. Can win but I'd be happy with a point. Prediction 1-1.

Shams are the form team in the league at the moment and a point will do very nicely, thank you.

Shams have done extremely well so far. A bit like us last season, they have performed above expectations.
I really cant see the keeping this run going all season. Pat Fenlon said on Monday night that he has noticed them tireing over the last 2 games.
They are a very young squad. I think our fitness level will tell in the end.
I expect another home win.

how can you say you'd be happy with a point? shows a serious lack of ambition and you are seriously underestemating our team. at home against shamrock rovers. the history between the clubs and you would take a point? we're at home. we beat them and scored 3 against them away from home. id be dissapointed with a draw!

Its a game we need to win I think to get a european place next season
no reason IMO why we cant be looking to get 4th spot. we have the quality players for it that would get into alot of teams above us and we play good football.

Maybe Sligoman might hear something and tell us if he is not to busy playing his commodore 64 !!For that smartarse comment, I'm not even going to try and find out now:p.

Should deffinaltly be looking for the 3 points in this game. Rovers are playing some of the most attractive football in the league.
Hopfully there will be a good atmophere too.

Is there much crowd expected? id say it will be the same situation as boh's

Yes the club should really announce what is happening, Maybe Sligoman might hear something and tell usOk. Shams have beginning of blue stand while Rovers fans have railway end side of stand. Shams will enter through "turnstiles" along with Rovers fans but they'll exit through car park gate.

The club are expecting a big crowd for this.
You don't get crowds on Fridays, remember last year's "experiment"?? :o Won't be too many of ours going up either, our numbers have been decimated by the late change in date. Looks like another tv match for most of us. :o

Were ya at the Galway, Longford & Waterford games?

The club are expecting a big crowd for this, still think they should have put tickets on sale in town to avoid the a que forming. Brace yourself lads over the next 24 - 36 hours we will have to put up Natural Yokel Hoop and his fetishes with TV Gantries and How he or his family invented the name Rover or something like that. Anyway should be fun with him.
Ya what a clown he is for saying it would be far more logical for Sligo to put the gantry in the Blue Stand so it faces yere new stand.
Sure most Sligo lads would agree with that.

Obsessed,
It's a bad idea to let the home fans have the railway end. Not too clever on the two sets of fans entering the ground together either. But then if someone of your obvious maturity is running things I wouldnt expect anything else.
Any normal sligo fan confirm where the away support will be?

Like Sligoman said, ye have the near end of the blue stand. All fans enter through the main gate area, but you have 2 turnstiles for away supporters only. Hopefully 6 turnstiles for home supporters will be open. They are been put in yesterday and today.
You will exit the ground by the carpark gate.
I would say there will be an area of seating cordoned off between the 2 sets of supporters, like what happened at the Boh's match.

Roger a yokel refers to a unsophisticated COUNTRY person. You are from the country.
Rovers crowd will be down because of the change in date but imagine it will be about a hundred.
Hope that clarifies things hillbilly but by all means keep amusing us.

Lots of local yokels at their annual game cos of the visitors. Wouldnt be too unhappy with a draw though a win is well within our grasp. Draw is 2/1.

Discount the Cup game as a one off. Even if we had won it 5-0 it wouldnt make any difference to this game. This time we will have a defense.
You could be right about the tiredness. First thing you may have got right since you found the internet yokel. Well done.

i hope people will come out tomorrow nite for this game cause it has the potential to be a cracker. get the word out tell people about the game we need a deacent crowd here with plenty of noise. there has being a fair bit of work done at the grounds this week but there is still a lot to be done especilaay at turnstiles. there is six in place but all not fully
functional.if we create a good atmosphere it will lift the team. this game is crucial to our season cause if we can pull
a win here things will start to happen. since i have being supporting sligo rovers ( 40 yrs) shans games have always being a bit special and tomorrow nites will be no different so get the fans out. tell people to forget about watching it on the telly. lets show the country that we care about rovers by turning up and create a special atmosphere. we can win this game if we act as the 2th man

I think they have the pressure on them as if they don't win i can't see them winning any league. Win or bust as they say.
We've only just come up ffs, so how come we under "pressure" to win the league?? There's no pressure on us, to win anything this year.
In any case, this game is hardly win or bust, as after tomorrow night, there will be 13 matches to go, where we will be in minimum third place. If we lose in the return game in October (unlikely), then it's a different story.
