We had a lad played for us a few years ago, when captaining the U21 side the ref flipped the coin and asked him "Heads or Tails?"

He looked at the ref blankly and said "I don't know".

It doesn't get much slower than that.

Eddie Gormley

In his last game back in 2005 against UCD he came on for twenty minutes or so and barely moved from the one spot. He had no pace, just limited mobility. He even managed to get himself booked for a wreckless challenge.

Brian O' Callaghan looked fairly sluggish during his brief cameos so far.

Scandalous thing to say about the great man. he had pace, he just couldn't be arsed moving in his last game

Dodge, he was 36 and it was probably his first run out he'd had in a long time back then. That night he barely moved and when he did it was only in mere centimetres from his standing position. In his prime he certainly could move but in that game......well to give you an idea, he couldn't even tuck his shirt into his shorts his belly was so big.

In fairness to him, he's lost a bit since then.

Point I'm making was he couldn't be arsed

others are slow, have always been slow and always will be slow.

So basically take it back about Gormley or you're barred (even though I can't bar anyone...)!!!!!!!

And he was STILL the best player on the pitch! :)

EDIT: Used to love those reckless challenges - you could rely on at least one a game. From what I remember he hardly ever got himself sent off because he was one of those

He's not that type of player

players who can get away with loads of stuff that recognised "hard men" wouldn't. :D

Trevor Vaughan.

Vaughan slow? God no.

For sure all the Dundalk fans call him 'Lightning' because of his pace. :D:D

I think I know why he's so slow.

I saw him playing football down the People's Park here the other night and he was wearing runners, not boots.

Tony O'Dowd has to win this. The man moves slower than a glacier
