A proper Foot.ie Kit Shop (http://foot.ie/shop/) is now open, with various t-shirts, hoodies, hats, mugs, badges, keyrings, and other silly stuff. The shop is a work in progress, so if you have any special requests, post below and I'll see what I can do.
If you don't have a credit card, email the product(s) you require and I'll place the order for you. I'll need the product and size you want, and your address so I can calculate postage.
Please use email so I have a proper record: payments AT foot DOT ie.

Good stuff. I prefer the white one myself. Are the sizes generous or depressing?

As mentioned here (http://foot.ie/showthread.php?p=726708#post726708), I bought a couple of tshirts from a Spreadshirt shop I set up for Foot.ie a while back. I got them today, so delivery isn't bad (5 days); and I'm actually quite impressed by the quality, they're really pretty good. On price, the black one is a bit pricey if you're not a nerd like me that actually prefers the Talk Balls logo, or a fat b'stard (like me) that would look like a whale in the white, but there you go.
I don't mind revealing my markup on these: I'm adding €3 to each tshirt, from which 21% VAT is subtracted. That's €1 for me, €1 for the designer, and I'll set the rest aside for a charity of my choice. I can't see us getting rich off them anytime soon. ;) I'm just releasing these two shirts right now because my designer is on walkabout, but our plan is to release more Foot.ie shirts, and a few specials created by compos, the winner of which will receive a free one.
A few photos of the actual shirts are attached. You can get to the shop here:

Sound Adam - any plans to have a V-neck version of the white?

Would it be possible to have our individual Foot.ie "Handles" printed on either the face or reverse?.......might be a usefull to aid to identifying each other on our Away trips

Good stuff. I prefer the white one myself. Are the sizes generous or depressing? They seem about average superfrank, about the same as most other british shirts I've bought; although not as roomy as American shirts. I got an 2XL in white and an 3XL in black - they're actually very close in size - and although I wouldn't be happy wearing the white, it's not actually that bad. However I have lost 18 pounds in the past two weeks, so I could be way out. :D
any plans to have a V-neck version of the white?I've just checked and all they really have in v-neck is a polo shirt, which'd look a bit odd with a big logo; and I can't resize the logo down far enough to go on the left-chest. I'll ask the design to do an alternative logo for the chest?
Would it be possible to have our individual Foot.ie "Handles" printed on either the face or reverse? That might actually be possible, I'll look into it this evening when I have a bit more time to faff about in there.

I like the white T-shirt. :)

Is anyone else picturing a giant hamster with cheeks stuffed with food? :eek:That's why the handle was always pretty appropriate. Hopefully that won't be the case any more in a couple months. :)

It'll end in a murder trial.........................:D
White looks best to me (a sign of the innocence of those who post on this site ).
The idea of the handles would be great. I produced foot.ie labels for the San Marino trip and it went down well with those who identified themselves . The T-shirts could become a "uniform" for all games :ball:
The price seems reasonable also.
Can we buy them yet Adam? Will they be available for the double header in September

You can AidoM, I've already bought two meself.
I'd very much like to do the handles thing but I'm not sure Spreadshirt can handle it yet, need to tinker with their system a little. I also need a smaller version of the logo to go on the chest, I can't seem to resize the one I have. I wouldn't hold your breath for handles tbh, it could be the new year before my designer has an extended period of time to work with me on it. I will do my best to do it though, perhaps with preorders on the site so I can go to a meatspace printer.

Adam,I would definitely be interested in ordering a couple of "Handled" types, and think many others would follow...surely it can't be that difficult to "over-print" on reverse bulk pre-printed shirts....I'm getting some of my existing Ireland shirts done, and its fairly cheap and quik for just a few.
Christ........just thought ...everyone will know who I am!

Spreadshirt can actually do this, but I can only do it with the Pitch logo - attached - as the others won't resize down. I'll point Walter at this thread, see if we can cajole him into an hour or two's work.

I presume some of those T-shirt printing places would be able to put your "handle" on them or do you have to buy the shirts in their place first
Will check the T shirt printer places and order a couple later.
Adam,
Might I, respectfully, :p suggest you link this on the Fans Forum as there could be a lot of interest in having them for the double headed in September. ....................anticipates bigger additional baggage charge to take account of foot.ie flag and t-shirts :(

On Spreadshirt you can add your handle on the fly using a Flash interface, which isn't bad at all. I tried it with a polo yesterday and it looked ok, although I didn't buy it. I'll wait until I have a small Foot.ie logo.
I'm kind of ramping this up slowly as I want to get feedback from people on what they think and what they want. I'll add a global announcement shortly, and later I'll add a Merchandise button up top.
PS. Given that you're minding the Foot.ie flag for us, if you send me your address I'll post on the white shirt (http://foot.ie/attachment.php?attachmentid=807&d=1185191898) I got a couple days ago. I don't like white shirts anyway.

Thanks kdjac. We might look into that for the Foot.ie Team (http://foot.ie/showthread.php?t=65382) if it takes off. This kit is just purely merchandise.

We have around 20 players so far. It's certainly promising.
I was actually thinking of buying the foot.ie t-shirts for the team if it gets off the ground. Do you think it'd be possible, I know this is pushing it, to have a t-shirt designed with numbers and handles? No rush anyway. Thanks.

Probably cheaper to get a batch of them and get the numbers and handles done in a shop somewhere.

Cheers Adam,
You've lost me on adding "your handle on the fly using a Flash interface" - I can just about put on my computer :o. If you could explain how I can arrange it in purchasing it I'll do it.
I'll take you up on the offer of the "white shirt" - even if it a 2XL may be like a "Demi Roussos tent" on a slim, sleek fellow like me :p. I suppose what I'll save on buying one I can put towards the extra baggage charges for the Foot.ie flag
I'll PM you my address

If you could explain how I can arrange it in purchasing it I'll do it.You can't do anything at the moment as I haven't enabled that option for any shirts, and I won't for a while. Need a small Foot.ie logo from the designer first.
That shirt's on it's way to you.

As I recall there was trouble getting 11 for the planned "friendly" against YBIG last year.

As I recall, despite quite a few people saying they were in, and having 2 months and having flexibility with the date, roughly 3 people committed (I think). I guess its sort of don't count your chickens before they hatch.

Are these shirts available? I'd be keen to get my hands on one but then again I never got my handle changed despite asking and I'd want my new handle on the shirt.
Great idea though.

I'll purchase a couple of the T-shirts actually. Quite like the hoodie but pretty expensive at that. I may be wrong on it. Just comparing to what I paid for our club hoodie here. That said it does look very good.

Thanks Harpsbear. I killed off the Spreadshirt store cos these guys are cheaper, significantly in some cases, but some things still ain't as cheap as I'd like. Still though, I'm tempted by the beer steins... :)

Well I'm not disappointed by the quality at all. The hoodie is quite good material and one of the T-Shirts is pretty good. The second T-Shirt is a bit more faded in terms of the foot.ie and looks worryingly big but I'm sure it will be fine.
They don't look bad at all.

Were they different types of tshirt, or the same? I wouldn't be surprised at a difference in quality between Standard and Value, or even different sizes as they'd probably go on on different machines, but I'd nearly query with them if they were the same type. Glad you're happy with them anyway, and thanks for the feedback, appreciate it. How long did delivery take, is it about a week?
Mad Moose
15/10/2009, 3:46 PM
Yeah one is a value and one is a standard but i'll check them later.Generally think the stuff is good.Te hoodie is more like my uni hoodie than my club hoodie which has disintegrated on a few washes. Wouldn't be sure on delivery as there are delay issues with Royal Mail.
