European countries are to be asked to nominate their best player of the last 50 years to be included in a UEFA hall of fame. The 52 football associations will name one player each - and it will be up to each to decide how to pick him There will also be a fans' vote on uefa.com later this year to choose their top 50 players of any nationality as part of the 50th jubilee of European football's governing body. Ireland will argue over players of the calibre of Roy Keane, David O'Leary, Liam Brady and Paul McGrath
My shortlist would include;

Liam Brady
Ronnie Whelan (Just for the memories)
Damien Duff (Living and playing legend)
