Watching Carmarthen get torn apart last night by a Brann side that was so much better than them it was almost unfair was the most embarrassed I have ever been. Added to that, it was pi$$ing it down and my half time hot dog was therefore about 70% water.

At least Rhyl won against Haka.

And a man sent off.

Rather unusual result, especially given TNS beat Ventspils and Rhyl are now 3-1 up on Haka.

Carmarthen lost their 3 best players over the summer, and sacked the boss that got them that win against Longford two years back.

Added to that they only finished 7th last season.

Also, Brann would probably be of lower Premiership standard.

Good enough excuse? :o

2 good results for TNS & Rhyl, especially against teams in the middle of their season.

Welsh performances in Europe seem to be on the up.

Brann are really underrated in my opinion - one of the better Norwegian sides, they were in the Champions league qualifiers a couple of years ago, I think. As the major team in Bergen, they also have a bigger base, in a town ripe for football.

Good to see TNS and Rhyll doing well.

They were certainly a very good side despite Carmarthen's ineptitude last night.

They could well make the group stages and beyond of the UEFA Cup.
