dont tell me ye/they were the ones near the camera(id say between 5-10) who could be heard signing ''come on you boys in black'' and some other ireland song:rolleyes:
you do know that that song is now going since march so i dont think they get the breakthrough award for it!!

I think Tribal army are cringe worthy, based on slogan coming straight from the GAA.Or Pat Dolan :D

If we're naming our own chants then...I think "We should be playing Dundalk", sung to Galway fans is one of the best.

how is it from the GAA?... we're the city of the tribes, doesnt take a genius to get the tribal army from that...also i follow all codes and in GAA were the tribesmen so both of ye get your facts right!!.
also both songs ye sang to us were been sung at the start of the season so stop trying to take credit for songs so unbelievabley predictable its sad seeing ye trying to take credit for them.... its like saying we sung to longford ''ye'r going down'';)

I remember that night very well. Some Derry City fan didn't take to it very well and got carried out:D

That was some night:)

Another funny Linfield chant towards Glentoran, when we beat them last season to effectively(but not officially) to win the IL. It was a sunny day and we where at the Oval. As many people would know their is massive grass banks behind the Glentoran goal.

Linfield where winning 2 nil and the Glenmen where lieing on the grass in the blazing heat. The Linfield support belted out "your only here for a sun tan"

It was a lot funnier as it happened than it is typing it now. But it was a great day to.

So do I unfortunately!!!

Credit where it is due; it was good and there was no reply.:o

A few weeks later, Drogs fans were singing it to which the resonse was "Maxi's gonna get ya, Maxi's gonna get ya...".

Didn't realise you were a fortune teller too gilberto, normally only gypsies that do that...

Dont get your knickers in a twist, believe me, we really dont care.

To drogs this season 'dublin suburb, dublin suburb' but due to their energetic reaction they seemed to enjoy it, so it then became 'dundalk suburb, dundalk suburb' which they didnt enjoy as much.

Ohh and when drogs got promoted in the showgies a few years ago, 'who let the drogs out' :D

And I think we made Derek O'Brien cry the other week, it was funny.

In Galway:

"Poison water,Poison Water,
Poison water makes ya sick,
makes ya vomit,diarrhoea,
Poison waters like drinking ****"

When sligo fans started singing "going down" to us,we just turned to them and started "so are we,so are we,so are we"

and "we all live in an empty flancare park" is a regular!

We're actually quite a witty bunch if only there was enough of us so that you could hear us!

the best chant from opposing fans i ever heard in united park was v galway in the promotion/relegation play off. galway won 2-0 down there in the first leg.we were sponsored at that time by the phone company -u know who. in the return leg..

galway fans "02 - you've got the score on your shirts, youve got the score on your shirts....." a classic
made easier to laugh at coz we robbed them 3-2

from our fans it was another end of season chant ill remember forever:eek:
6 goals you only need 6 goals
5 goals you only need 5 goals
4 goals you only need 4 goals
3 goals you only need 3 goals
2 goals you only need 2 goals
4-nil down and we're havin a laugh...

Some clubs have anthems that are unique and surive the years. Galway United fans always sing:

You'll Never Walk In Athlone
After Dark
After Dark
With Fear In your Heart....

Anyone else have all the words?

Another of mine ;)

And he did actually look like an Umpa Lumpa as well

But of course. The referees looks and manner must be considered. ;)

For example one for Alan Kelly could go as follows:

"His name is Alan and he makes love to his hand"

To the tune of "Rio" by Duran Duran

You getting the idea?? :)

Why would the fans of a brand new club, playing in the first division, have any reason to hate Shamrock, who play in a division above them!?
Have the two clubs ever even played each other?

Every time Peader you enter your well saved piece or an aspect of it to all items Limerick. Ive been supporting LIMERICK in the EL for 18 years now and btw Limerick, unbeaten by any cork city senior team in any comp since 1993/4 :)

St. Pat's fans in Terryland sang " Always look in the water for shi@@e" to tune of always look on the bright side of life. Pretty good in my estimation.

When Cork City played DC in Dalyer a few seasons ago when Shoddy was in charge and 2 DC players went down injured .Almost at one the entire City support started singing "don't get Injured, you won't be paid,Don't get injured you won't be paid"-Thought it was a very funny spontainious chant

Not an opposition fans chant (but everyone else is breaking the rule) but my favourite chant is still the immortal "he's got bird **** on his head" (to the tune of "he's got the whole world in his hands") sung at Pat Morely by Pats fans in 1999.

About Derek Swan:
"He's fat and geriatric,
He'll never score a hat-trick,
His hair is grey
But we want him to stay
Walking in a Swanny wonderland"

I thought some Rovers fans were quite witty last time we were in the Showgrounds when they called me Napolian Dynamite as I walked past, since I do look a bit like him.

I was disappointed when I found out that they'd been saying the same to all the UCDD fans.

Stolen from Bohs in turn

Stolen from the locals who originally directed it at the Vikings in the 8th century.

That's why it p!ssed off the Danes so much when we sang it last week.
