These upcoming games I reckon are two Cup Finals for us. Not withstanding Derry sandwiched in between them maybe. I saw Waterford in Cork last night and there were very poor. They are a physically big side but they can when they have the ball distribute it reasonably well. They done this for about 5mins and that was it. Id definitely say we gave Cork a much better game in Terryland, of course we just just parked the team bus on the line in Turners. We beat Bray already and had a shocking game against Waterford. We need minimum 4 points from these two encounters. The players need to settle quickly especially with 4 new lads in the squad. Its not going to be an easy task in the middle of the season but ill have to be done.

Yeah 2 massive matches alright, these 2 along with UCD are in the fight to avoid the playoff with us. We must take points off them at home.
Also the longer we go without a home win the more this is going to play on the players minds.

Bray are a decent side but if we want to avoid the playoff it's these kind of matches that we have to be winning.

I'll go for 2-1 United.

:ball:After last night Waterford have a game more played with one less point. They have still won four games to our three. It is imperative that we get not just four but six points from Bray and Waterford. I just hope and pray that the schedule after Derry doesn't affect the team. Derry , Sunderland, Waterford and Celtic...... Great few weeks coming up. Will we be any better off on the field afterwards? I have said it each and every week since we started this season, this weekend will be our first home win. Bring on the Wanderers.

both big games and we should be definietly aiming for 6 points. if we had clocked up as many points at home as we have away then we'd be a top 6 team right now

Keep thinking every week that the first home win will come - Getting less confident of it happening each week even though with each game it is more likely that we will win one.
Will be a huge relief when it happens

don't care how we play and even if it's hoof-ball as long as we win tonight

Well TC reckons our luck is running out with injuries have before tonights game. I reckon we didnt have any luck so to run out of. Mensah is now a doubt that could be long term after only 1 game. He mentions a new possible signing or 2 but these are reliant on Foley and Davoran movin out.... Foley will be snapped up i'm sure. We need a dogfight tonight I reckon. A sneaky goal will do me I ont care how we play tbh.

From Bray website:
Colm Tresson is a doubt.
The Bray veteran is struggling to shake off injury, and will face a fitness test before tonight's 7.45pm kickoff in Galway.
Defender Clive Delaney and nippy winger Gary McCabe are suspended, but otherwise the Bray boss has a full squad to choose from

Good Stuff!!

I wasn't at the game but can't comment on how bad it was overall but from what i've read and been told it was a scrappy game. we pretty much dominated the 1st half and scored when Galway were starting to get on top, Galway presure at the end but no cutting edge.

For me our worst preformance of the season was against Galway at home, but since then we have been playing, excellent football, some of the best stuff in years. If we get a bit of luck along the way we could finish as high as 4th or 5th IMO and i've NEVER said that about a bray side before.

i think thats true. everytime ye got the ball ye found a man or looked to play the ball into space and yer players knew where to run to. ye attacked with pace and in numbers and yer front men made some very intelligent runs.

the main difference between the sides was when they were in possession. our team seemed to have an inside bet to see who could kick the ball the furthest while ye looked to play the ball quickly and offer support to whoever had possession!

i was surprised by the football ye played tbh and ye very much deserved the 3 points.

any team who looks to play football like that deserves what they get.

unfortunately teams who play football like we do at the moment usually get what they deserve
