When you were growing up, or nowadays even, what was your favourite kids telly show?
I always watched Thomas the Tank Engine with Ringo Starr as narrator. It was simply brilliant.
I also liked some Australian show that I can't remember but it was about these toys in a bedroom that came to life.
Bosco was good too.
Now I know I'm 19 but SpongeBob Squarepants is a classic show. :o

Transformers, M.A.SK., Jase and the Wheel Warriors, Thundercats, Mr.Ben, Fraggle Rock, Button Moon, Hulk Hogan's Rock N Roll Wrestling all get honourable mentions for my favourite cartoon when I was a kid, but hands down winner, and a show I still love today is Ulysses 31.
Quality animation, with exicting and, often times, very dark storylines, they just don't make them like this anymore

I'm 34 so ye might not remember H.R. Puffinstuff.
In truth it was even before my time but RTE being RTE liked low rent ten year old tv shows.
Also liked Wurzel Gummidge, Cat Weazel, Famous Five (had quite a crush on Jennifer Tannisch who played Anne).
Animation ...it had to be Battle of the Planets.
Though in my teens I used get up at 6am to study for my leaving cert but would in fact switch on DJ Kat on Sky One and see brilliant old cartoons like The Archies and Sport Billy. Got well into the TMH Turtles too as their reporter buddy had a rack that would not quit!!!

I loved Bagpuss when I moved here from Canada and have a Bagpuss teddy which helps me keep warm at nite as well as a rucksack & loads of other stripy merchandise. Yeah I know am a big kid!
Also loved in Canada & was gutted when moved home and couldnt watch it any more was Lippy the Lion and Hardy har har or something like that. I cried for weeks with out Lippy! Love the Banana Splits too.
As an older child, loved Knightmare and Byker Grove.
Magic Roundabout was better as I got older but always loved Dylan as a kid and that is partly why my son is his namesake!
Now, love Spongebob, Johnny Bravo, Cow & Chicken, IR Weasel and catching up on the old stuff on boomerang. (we have cow & chicken & JB series linked on sky +....sad I know!)

Earthworm Jim (bit after my time, but that didn't stop me watching it!).
Likewise! Anyone remember Dynamo Duck? I used skip work to watch it. It used real animals including a duckling, a rodent of some description... Fantastic!
Earth worm Jim was my favourite show. Pinky and the Brain wasn't far behind
nowadays i dont mind watching Hi5 (http://www.theambassadors.com/common_graphics/productions/p1581_m1.jpg) if i decide not to go into college. ;)

I just watched a Bear In The Big Blue House DVD for the 437th time but only because it helps my 20 month old daughter go to sleep.
I am trying to compose a football song to the tune of the intro....

Fraggle Rock, Sesame Street for me was brill too. So many great characters (Ernie and Bert, The Count, Cookie Monster) but in amongst the saps though (Elmo, Big Bird etc.) The songs were great.
"Oh a doctor is a person in your neighbourhoood, in your neighbourhood..." etc.
Saved By The Bell I liked, was Wonder Years a kids show really? Ill put that in anyway. Defenders of the Earth, Pinky and Brain, Dangermouse, so many...
